Although he means well, Hendershot expects a great deal from everyone without properly communicating what he wants. For the first two months of this class, we did nothing but draw a chair. If you are ok with repetition, its worth it to gut out this class because the ending assignments are great. If you don't have any skill, though, it'll be tough.

Intro to 2D art was my most frustrating class. His assignments don't make sense, and he has a hard time clarifying what he wants. He also rarely (if ever) gives demos or teaches technique--basically sets you out on your own, but then harshly critiques your work. I won't be taking a class from him again.

He is very nice and tries to be helpful. His only downfall is clarity. Even when you ask for clarification you still don't understand after he explains again. Hard to go wrong though because he is a liberal grader.

He is super helpful and always willing to help. Heis very unclear about assignments and expects a lot from them, but he still grades them easy. Ask questions if you are confused about an assigment and you should be fine.

Although he's unclear sometimes, he is a truly gifted man and I took a lot away from that class adn I only took him for FA credits. Seriously, take this man for 2d drawing--you won't regret it.

I had 2d art with him and he is very helpful, it is very difficult to figure out what he wants for assignments and sometimes it's unclear that an assignment is being assigned. But he's a great guy.

A bit unclear with project directions, but this man is truly a sweetheart who cares about each and every one of his students. He is very compassionate toward students and is passionate about his work--he's talented. He is great to take for FA credits.

Sometimes it takes awhile to figure out what exactly he wants from you when he gives out assignments, but he knows his subject well and he really cares a lot about his students.
