Very clear. Likes to challenge students to think in a different perspective, which I found really inspirational. Available a lot. Has a sense of humor.

The class itself was easy considering I took AP Chem in high school (basically a review course). I really felt for the kids that had never been exposed to the material, though. Horrible job of explaining things, only worked out 1 or 2 example problems in class and spent the rest of the time giving us useless applications. Not all hi fault, but....

He is clearly really passionate about Chemistry, but he spends more time talking about pointless applications than teaching the material. I got an A with ease in 1320, but I actually had to work for it in this class. He also doesn't drop ANYTHING.

He runs the nuclear reactor. Very intelligent, but doesn't care whether you succeed or not. He won't put up tegrity so kids will come to class but also won't put up the worked out problems online. Flies to slides very fast and it's difficult. Tests are IMPOSSIBLE. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely terrible. Lectures weren't worth going to as he would go on tangents and usually make his students feel like 'stupid freshman'. The online homework was easy, but the exams were ridiculous. 20 question multiple choice. And no dropped exams. AVOID HIM IF YOU CAN.

Avoid taking his class if possible unless you're very strong in chemistry and very dedicated to schoolwork and reading the textbook

Comment:
Robertson used electronic homework that was irrelevant to problems in the textbook sometimes. The material was not that complex, but his tests were pretty hard if you slack on the homework. Also, his lectures were not worth going to. Avoid Robertson is you can!

Good teacher, very knowledgeable. Maintains interest in lecture. Relatively easy material, but the tests are hard: multiple choice with no partial credit. Do the homework and study and you'll do fine.

Dr. Robertson is a relatively good professor however he often goes on tangents from the topic and his tests are all multiple choice which means no partial credit. Easy material hard tests...

Seemed helpful in the beginning, but didn't seem to care about us in the end. We didn't get a practice exam for the last test, and I didn't feel prepared for the final.

His enthusiasm helped keep the lectures interesting. His notes were always available online. We had ten multiple choice problems online each week and besides labs, that was the only homework.
