Kind teacher, mildly interesting subject, difficult class. Reading off powerpoints with *critical exam info* injected during lectures is an easy way to create an unengaging 8 am class. The cycle between exams goes as follows: drowsiness ruins concentration>miss key info during lecture>struggle studying>exam at 8 am>poor results.

She's a great teacher, and if she can tell that you put time into the class, she'll help you find the answers if you're struggling. The test study guides are very good - pretty much exactly what will be on the tests. The quizzes were a little harder, but as long as you spend a little time with the Spotify playlist, it's fine.

Dr. Mabary is a very nice woman and she wants you to do well in her class. There is a lot of material to learn and it's very easy to fall behind. She posts her lectures and she posts study guides for all quizzes and tests. As long as you prepare carefully you'll be fine.

This rating is regarding the Music History courses for majors at Mizzou. Dr. Mabary is very knowledgeable about music history, however, I find her lectures super boring. Nearly every time we meet for class, she reads straight off of the powerpoint. The class is already harder to enjoy because what we study is farther in the past in less tangible.

Super nice teacher who cares and offers unlimited extra credit. If you're willing to do the work and don't procrastinate in your studying you'll get an A. A lot of memorization of terms, which can have weird names. Just go to class and do concert reports.

She has such a good attitude and high interest in the subject. Attend all classes, take notes, review notes, and skim the textbook and you will surely pass (and its not even as hard as it sounds). She is very helpful! You will also have to attend outside concerts for grades, but its not too bad.

You can tell she's pasionate about music. She gets so excited and wants her students to be excited as well. You HAVE to go to class and study the listening examples like crazy. The content isnt always interesting, but Mabary's a sweet woman.
