Comment:
Professor Miller is an excellent teacher, highly knowledgeable about what she teachers and about writing in general. She expects you to read and think critically about the topics being studied and to be thoughtful in the essays you write. If you make a genuine effort, you will pass her class easily, and she will help you if you are struggling.

Comment:
This class is very, very, very boring. Prof. Miller does read every assignment submission and is very critical if she doesn't agree with your opinion. Be prepared to read and write about stories that are so boring they could be used to replace sleep medications. Finally, she is extremely ambiguous about what needs to be done in the class.

I took her class for hum108 and it was the worst class I ever taken. She doesn't help you much but leaves you to think for yourself. I barely pass with a B. And for the finals she didn't even said what will be on it but leave it to us to guess.

Introduction to Literature is a difficult class because it asks you to dig into each piece and catch subtlties, however, Lisa made it interesting and fun. With any concerns, she always responded quickly and was eager to help. She reads each person's work individually and offers extensive feedback on each assignment. Highly Recommended. :)

The most boring class I have ever taken. Not only does she get off subject and talk about herself she also Teaches her class assuming you know background information about what she's talking about. However, the only homework is a card catalog that is due at the end semester which is a 25 book analyzing assignment. Boring boring class!!!!

She gives good helpful feedback but is too narrow-minded. I wrote a response to a lecture which is MY response to it not hers. She said I was too judgmental and gave me a C. She wasn't even clear about what the class was about.

Very tough class, she doesn't give you a study guide; you have to figure out what to study. It was probably the hardest class for me to get an A on. But she is very helpful and will make deals with the students.

Dr. Miller is awesome. She's been teaching a LONG time and it shows. She is really knowledgeable and conveys concepts clearly; her passion for the subject is contagious. Also, she's fair with grading. She's passionate; she is not the instructor for you if you don't want to do the assigned reading or make an effort to be interested in the material.

work was over loaded. But not very difficult just time consuming. She also threw a fit in our class as well. She got upset and slammed all her books down and threw a lil hissy fit. very unprofessional and not good conduct for a teacher

Very upset with comments the prof made to the class. She was very degrading and made many students feel bad about themselves and question if they really should be in school at all. Would not recommend her as a teacher. She is a very intelligent person and knows her field very well, but could have better communication skills.

She is not organized and lacks planning. But is kind and helpful. The work can become overloading, but it is a writing class. She has a lot of experience and knowledge. So don't be afraid to consult with her, she is happy to help out. I am someone who likes organization, so lack of a schedule (syllabus) messed me up a little.
