Comment:

Ms. Lisa was outwardly very sincere but secretly too busy to slow down enough to make sure everyone was on the same page. She does play favorites and nit-picks those that irritate her. She made it a point to explain to the class that we would get graded badly for topics she disagreed on. Do your best.... she is very hard to get an A. No grade yet.

Comment:

Lisa is great in class to help students develop speaking. Public speaking is somewhat terrifying but she makes it fun and helps you get over your fears. There are a few group projects to be done as well as individual speeches. But it is public speaking - so no biggie. I would recommend taking her if you need to take public speaking.

Had her for 4 classes over the years. Shes my favorite teacher ever! She really does care about her students and there well being. Shes a little scatter brained but what communication teacher isnt?! There is not another professor out there that will care if you do well like she does!

Lisa is nice don't get me wrong. In the beginning of the class she talked about how this is about the students but she really only talks about herself. Her class is very easy but I always dreaded going. If you are looking for the credit she is easy just plan to be bored

Nice woman. That said, I would never take a class with this instructor again. She is disorganized, forgetful, ignores emails, and forgets to post assignments, essay drop-boxes, and exams on BB. The syllabus often contradicts instructions and emails (reverse too). TIPS-Watch APA, write, speak and nod like a sheep and all will be well.

Lisa was a great professor. Though it is Public Speaking, many people's greatest fear, she made everyone feel very comfortable and created a light-hearted, fun atmosphere. She's very particular, you'd benefit from meeting with her or the tutoring center before turning in assignments. But, she grades promptly, fairly and is an excellent instructor!

Took this class online. Class seemed clear according to syllabus. Professor over the next couple weeks would forget to post assingments or exams. When students attempted to use BB email to contact her, she wouldn't respond in a timely mannor. Lots of reading required. Very disorganized and unclear. Nice lady though.

Really nice lady, but awful teacher. She talks about random things that don't relate to the subject and she NEVER grades the homework. Don't expect students to get the work done if you can't do your part!

This teacher is kind and willing to help you learn, but very, very disorganized. I would recommend if you're looking for an easy grade, but you will spend a lot of time confused about assignments, and taking her class online is a mess. Read the textbook to learn the material and have a good time.

An amazing teacher! Lisa really takes an interest in each and every one of her students and will do her best to help you succeed.Does grade strictly, but you will become a great public speaker because of it!Yes,she shares personal stories,but she also encourages her students to do the same so she can get to know them better. loved this class :)

Many of these reviews were true, I learned more about this teacher's personal life than the subject of the class. She can be very rude, and she does play favorites, but when you are a favorite you get treated very well. Interrupts and is very, very disorganized. I expected someone with a doc. degree to know how to spell and write a syllabus.

Horrible!!! Avoid at all costs... Unorganized, plays favorites, will make your life dreadful!! Absolutely the WORST instructor I have ever had! Truly dreaded each and if she dont like you she nit picks about everything you do, All the entries below are somewhat true but worse.

This professor was very nice at first, but this went away after a few weeks. She is a very strict grader (and I have taken many eng/lit classes before). She can be very rude and get mad at you for chiming in on an open coversation. I do not recommend this teacher, especially if you have no prior experience.

Avoid! Learned more about her personal life than the material. Used class time to promote NRA events & try to sell her timeshare. She missed over a quarter of the sessions then gave entire class incomplete. Posted final grades 3 weeks late= Screwed up my UNM transfer. Shocked she still has a job. Good ratings only because she gives EVERYONE A's.

Interesting class, however, instructor didn't get grades posted in a timely manner due to a medical reason. Even though this wasn't her fault, it still effected everyone's overall grade in the class, which resulted in receiving an incomplete as our final grade until she is able to get them turned in. This effected my financial aid so not too happy.
