Comment:

Horrible. Worst professor ever. Learned nothing about LRW, most of the lectures had no bearing on the subject; use of rubber chickens was absurd. Went to her with concerns that I was not comprehending the subject, she told me that maybe I wasn't cut out to be a lawyer. 11 years later, I am very successful, no thanks to her! Her class in 2006.

Comment:

She is enthusiastic and caring. Though, still not sure if it's worth taking this over regular admin. It's a lot of work, and she's not a generous grader. The only thing that helps is she considers participation for a percentage of the grade + no final. She assigns papers every other week but doesn't tell you half the stuff you need for it.

I took Her LRW in 2000/2001. I think RAFADC is a vast improvement on IRAC, but attorneys will not recognize it when you use it in your first law clerk memo. My appreciation for her style and approach to the law has increased (She was a great Admin Prof). And she's way cooler than I ever realized during the torture of LRW.

She is utterly insane, and I dig that about this chick. She can seem somewhat abrasive, but I jsut don't think she reacts well to student frustration. RAFADC is a vast improvement over IRAC and anyone who says otherwise just didn't get it. MAIN ADVICE: Don't resist the program that she is trying to teach because it will serve you well.

Not sure if her charts and made-up version of IRAC help anyone...definitely didn't help me. If I wrote a memo at work using RAFADC it would be back on my desk immediately to be re-written.

Jacobson is quirky, but if you look beyond it, you'll find that she's a great & dedicated prof. Very accessible, but won't suffer fools. Good sounding board. Still use the skills she taught me in my practice. Uses a modified form of IRAC that works really well on exams and work product.

I couldn't agree more with all of the above reviewers (except for the part about the rubber chickens...she must have adopted that little gag after my time in her class). I had her for LRW in 1999/2000, and it was one of the worst classes I've ever had. Unfair, biased, inconsistent, idiotic.

The worst instructor I have ever had. She doesn't actually "teach" you anything about Legal Research and Writting. Her grades are random as are her lectures. Words cannot describe how miserable an experience her class was.

Jacobson is the worst professor I've ever had. it seems like she decides grades based on who she likes, not who does good work. She needs to teach what students need to know to succeed, not what will make her feel better about herself in the morning.

I have serious doubts as to which Jacobson I'm talking with. She never blinks, she refers to her rubber chickens as "marital aids" and doesn't seem to know what time zone she's in half the time. Definitely the worst prof I've had so far in 19

Jacobson is one of the worst professors I've ever had. If you do what she says to do, she still deducts points. She wastes valuable class time playing with rubber chickens and does not spend enough time explaining what we need to know to pass the class.
