Honestly Dr. Pappano had to be one of the worst profs I had... She's a nice human but really does NOT know how to teach... She assigns a concerning amount of readings that are not possible to get done and her lectures are boring as hell. The best way to put it would be that she doesn't have a presence in the classroom. I wanted to sleep every class

Comment:

Dr. Pappano was a very helpful professor, and cared very much about the progress of student's. She is very knowledgable, and great at conveying information. There is heavy reading material, and she focuses on academic writings but also chose very interesting texts for the course. Overall, an amazing professor and would take her class again!

I find myself thinking of her class from 6 years ago. She was an exceptional instructor and a knowledgable lecturer. While the course was challenging, the effort put in was repaid tenfold.

Takes potentially interesting material and makes it extremely boring. The entire structure of the course was very confusing and she did a poor job of explaining fundamental concepts. Often would not be in her office during her posted office hours. Grading was fair but overall not an interesting or enjoyable course, primarily due to her lectures.

My only issue with Prof. Pappano's class is that she isn't a very loud speaker, which means you really have to listen carefully. Overall though her assigned readings were really interesting, she's a fair marker and always available and willing to speak outside of class. I would definitely take another class with her.

Dr Pappano knows how to communicate her ideas very effectively and efficiently. She is very encouraging at class discussion and knows how to effectively mediate it. If you're not paying attention you miss all the subtleties and jokes of her lectures.

Unbearable. This woman couldn't be more out of touch with modern student life if you went back to 1790 and kidnapped Margaret Pappano. There was nothing online, her lectures were ineffective and boring. I absolutely loathed going to her class.

dunno what you're all complaining about... Dr Pappano is awesome. Her lectures are always extremely interesting and she is very knowledgeable. I think that she is extremely helpful as well. At least, she's the only prof I've had who's been able to teach me how to write a solid essay. Going to miss this class. Highly recommend!

her lectures were always very interesting...i loved the material she picked, especially for the classics. however, this class was NOT easy and she was very cold and inflexible. she didn't take criticism at all or cater to the wants or needs of the class. there was a ridiculous amount of reading that no one ever did.

Incredibly boring prof, chooses boring material and has boring lectures on it. She (or her TA's) mark ridiculously hard. Lectures drag on well past the point where anybody at all is interested in what's being said. She really needs to get in touch with what her students want.
