Comment:
One of, and perhaps, the most influential teacher I had the privilege of studying with in the whole of my educational career (3 degrees). Her approach is a bit like reading poetry, condensed, so that you have to sit with the material for some time to digest all of what meaning there is there. Phenomenally encouraging, and she models excellence. A+

Prof. Babbitt is an inspiration! She is one of the best profs I have ever had and went out of her way to help me with assignments. She made sure everyone participated, and she took the time to listen to questions and explain concepts if they weren't understood. I absolutely loved this course!

Terrible. This person only knows about some limited and secondary issues to do with feminism, leftism, or buddhism but lacks any real expertise on anything else.

An exceptional course; one of the most affecting to date. Proffers a cleansed lens through which to see, if you're up to that. Professor was equally exceptional... knowledgeable, accessible, creates an environment in which you're encouraged to wrestle with the material and come to understand it. Expect your world view to be streched, considerably!

Comment:
While I have no bad experience with Prof. Babbitt I recommend NOT taking PHIL318. The course has minimal (if any) philosophical content. It is essentially a history of the region combined with typical communist rhetoric. I could have learned everything I did in this class by reading the wiki pages for communism and marxism

Terrible. One of the most boring, incomprehensible, biased professors I have had. If she understands the material, she doesn't understand how to teach it. A waste of time and money.
