Comment:

Took Prof Tower in Spring 2018 when I was unsure if I wanted to do an accounting major. Her class became the reason why I picked up the ACC major and continued to do accounting courses. This class will help you understand financial statements and be applicable to any finance/accounting career after college.

Comment:

Prof. Tower doesn't explain anything in detail during her lectures, she explains everything at service level. Then you have to teach yourself the material and hope that what you studied will be on the quiz/test. She gives such little time for quizes. 10 problems with multiple calculations for each problem and only 30 mins. Frustarting Experience.

She is a wonderful professor that truly cares about your learning. She knows it is a tough subject and wants to make it easier. She was always available to meet outside of class and help out. Truly learned so much and actually enjoyed accounting!

Easily the best ACC 304 professor at DePaul. Knows her stuff, kind, helpful, and down to earth. She curves the quizzes and exams by a lot and she tells you which work problems from the book are gonna be on the exams. Homework is online and easy. Take her. You won't regret it.

Comment:

Saying it is a tough class is an understatement, but prof. Tower is by far one of, if not, the most honest and respected professors you'll experience. She will tell you how it is, whether you like it or not. Show her respect, and she'll give it right back to you. Attendance is mandatory after week 2. Great professor, would recommend to anyone.

It's a TOUGH class. I respect her SO much, and she respects each and everyone of her students. The class is very hard, but if ur an acc student you def need her real world experience. She tests heavy but looks out for you & appreciates effort. Keep up with reading & hw bc you'll end up teaching urself a lot. She's a brilliant woman to say the least

Good lady but not a good teacher. She can not explain the text clearly. It was so hard to understand what she wrote on the board. Her tests can be hard but she is an easy grader. I would not recommend her at all. Will never take the class with her again. WORST EXPERIENCE AT DEPAUL.

Had the opportunity of taking her for 304&305 and I must say professor Tower cares and respects her students. DePaul has at most three good accounting professors and she is definitely one of them. Always gives extra credit points in every quiz, exam, and projects. Never leave the essay questions blank even if you do not know the right answer, TRY!

It's not hard to pass and she does provide solutions to the book problem, but essentially you will be teaching yourself. She has great real world solutions but not really good at the act of teaching itself. I don't think there are really any better options for a 305 instructor anyway

The material can be difficult at times, but she does a great job teaching it. Grade consists of attendance, 2 quizzes, midterm, final, hw (for completion), and a short project. She offers tons of extra credit, and specifies exactly what to study for the tests. Overall a solid choice for 305 as long as you put in a little work.

Prof Tower is a professor everyone should take. She genuinely cares about every single one of her students and takes great pride when you succeed. If you are trying to get into public accounting, TAKE HER. She is one of the best resources at DePaul and if you ever need advice, she is more than willing to provide it. Again, TAKE HER.

Took her for two accounting classes and she is an amazing professor. As long as you show up and pay attention in class, you will pass. She gives you everything you need to know and she really wants you to pass. She gives extra credit on every quiz and test, and a lot of it. Take her as she is the best accounting professor you will get.

One of the best professors in the Accounting department. Stern, but fair. You will figure out if you like accounting after taking this class with her. Tells you exactly what to focus on for midterm and final. Easy A if you show up to every class and take notes.

SUPER informative, clear explanations, and loves accounting. Always there to help accounting students succeed and prep for real world. Two skips allowed. DON'T be late she'll call you out - respect goes a long way with her. Outlines the midterm and final problems in great detail. Always puts extra questions on exams for a curve. Take her 100%!

Prof. Tower was by far my favorite professor at DePaul. She is so knowledgeable from all the experience she's had in the business world. Her quizzes are designed to prepare you for the exams and she will adjust your quiz grade if you did better on the exams than the quizzes. Material is hard but she want you to succeed. Always willing to help!

Most genuine professor at DePaul I absolutely respect her as a human, she cares about her students and will do anything to make sure her students pass the class. She doesnt make you memorize anything she wants you to actually learn the content and thats what sets her apart from other professors Ive had. It was not an easy class but shes amazing

One of the most amazing professors I have ever taken. ACC 305 is hard no matter what professor you take it with; you just have to read thoroughly and take notes! With that being said, her tests are difficult, but if you go in for extra help she really helps you understand the material. Tower wishes her students success!
