Comment:

MBA Accounting with Holtzman is hard but fun! The class is structured in a very interesting way in that it was online and the homework was actually case studies where you applied topics in accounting. Although it was online, it was very easy to participate and made online discussions very lively. Also very funny with great stories. Take for sure!

More or less, taking Professor Holtzman is about the best thing you can do if you are taking financial accounting at SHU. He is very down-to-earth, will offer help when he can, and is just a pleasure to take. I seriously looked forward to his class twice a week. Show up, pay attention, do the homework assignments from the book and you're golden.

Professor Holtzman is a fantastic professor. While there are only two department exams, a project, and participation/attendance, the class is pretty easy. Although the material can get confusing, he gives plenty of explanations and exercises that help you understand it. He even tells a joke or personal story to help you get through class.

Professor Holtzman is very helpful outside of the classroom and has flexible office hours. Answers e-mails almost instantly. Basically all accounting classes are the same, but Professor Holtzman is a pretty funny guy, so he'll keep you awake. Overall a good professor and I recommend him over other accounting professors.

Oh what can I say about Dr. Holtzman. After 3 classes with him, I know his teaching style is to assign work in order for you to understand the material in your way. But he's a hilarious guy who is always helpful, so go to him with questions. He's got no shame in admitting he has tenure and doesn't care about bad reviews. Love this guy!

Dreadful professor. His "lectures" consist solely of regurgitating the textbook material without explaining it or expanding upon it. You will teach yourself all the material. Homework is nothing like the problems reviewed in lectures.

THIS GUY TAKES ACCOUNTING AND ACTUALLY MAKES IT HARD TROUGH HIS LACK OF TEACHING. HES FUNNY, I WILL GIVE HIM THAT, BUT HE JUST DOES NOT TEACH. YOU DO CASES AND RECEIVE A GRADE, THATS IT. NO FEEDBACK AT ALL. TESTS ARE NOTHING LIKE THE STUFF HE TEACHED IN CLASS. DID I MENTION THIS GUY LOVES TO ASSIGN WORK. IF YOU WORK FULL TIME, AVOID HIM.......

he's a nice teacher and he will try his best to help you. but he doesnt help students prepare for the exams which are only two. he gives homework but doesnt tell you how to do so you will be looking at it like what the hell is this. take him if u want to take financial accouting twice.

Very good professor. He teaches, and for a department based course this is very important. Sometimes there is a lot of homework but then you know what you're doing on the dept. run exams. Even has some corny jokes to boot during class. Good times, take him.

The cutest judaic prof. teaching here. The class sux though, but there are some funny/corny jokes. Didn't prepare for exams AT ALL. For a good waste of tuiton money take him... Then take the class over again to pass.
