Comment:
He's monotonous, I have him for an 8 am, but the amount he writes on the board helps me stay awake. To pass the class you have to take notes the whole time, which is my learning style, so it works for me. He also provides a lot of examples and I think he's really clear, he makes the math easy to understand. Not super exciting, but a good teacher.

Extremely lecture heavy class, I wish he did more simple examples of proofs and built up to complicated ones so it would have been easier to understand.

Mark Logan writes EVERYTHING on the board, I went through 3 notebooks of notes with him in one semester. It is nice to have all those notes, but sometimes it was too much. He doesn't really walk around to personally help, or if he does he is super vague. He is not personal at all like other UMM profs- he is just there to write novels on the board.

Mr. Logan is one of the worst professors I've ever had. He runs through the material way too quickly and doesn't leave time for questions. He makes his students take notes constantly in class and the notes aren't any help at all. He was no help to me when I asked him questions. I still don't know how I got a C in his class...

This guy knows his math and clearly explains stuff. His exams are much easier compared to homework (which was gruesome). He could use some improvement in providing good feedback; I didn't know how well I was doing in the class till the very end. He seems to be a lenient grader. He's monotone: do not take morning class with him.

Comment:
Logan is monotonous, yes, we get that. However, he knows his stuff. He only refers to his notes every once in a while, and he barely makes mistakes. When he does, he'll correct it and move on. He does go quick in his lectures, so be sure to pay attention. Also, go to class. Especially in classes that are tough.

Definitely very smart but goes really fast during lecture. His feedback on tests are very unhelpful, mostly just uses a lot of question marks and exclamation points.

Comment:
Lecture-wise, Mark does pretty well. He gives a lot of examples and frequently asks if anyone has questions on the material. I took a 2-credit class, so there wasn't a lot of homework; at times it may have been helpful. He is pretty chill about making up work or late work if you have a reasonable excuse.

Mr. Logan lectures quickly, and you really have to be awake and ready to go when you go to his class. If you ask him to repeat information, he will, but first you have to get his attention, which can be more difficult as he doesn't always watch his students to see if they have questions about what's happening. Otherwise, a pretty good teacher.

Great at explaining, provides tons of examples in class, very little homework.BUT:Completely unapproachable!Very monotone,NEVER smiles, and sticks to hard cold facts.I tried stopping by his office twice,he'd explain the specific problem, but provided no additional resources. When asked how I could improve he said "do better on the tests".Not helpful!

Interesting professor overall. I learned many new things after taking Survey of Math with him. His humor is a little dry, but i must say that I stayed awake due to his voice - the man sounds like Nicholas Cage! This is no joke. I kept waiting for him to announce that he was going to steal the Declaration of Independence, too bad it didn't happen ;)

Very clear notes and explanation. He does a thorough job of explaining things. If you have to take Calc2, I recommend Logan. Just beware that it's a huge time hog. In addition to 4 days of class per week, you have HUGE amounts of homework. If it's an option for you, take a different class altogether!

He's a very good teacher, he knows his stuff, but unless you are really interested in what he's teaching, it can be really boring. He is very monotone and always acts like he's really bored with teaching the class. But, like I said, he's an excellent teacher other than that.
