Professor Felter's British Literature classes are highly recommended. She chooses great readings, explains them clearly, invites questions and discussion, and makes the class fun. Don't miss out on real college level classes where you'll learn and grow as a reader and writer.

Comment:
Dr. Felter was very knowledgeable about art of diverse cultures. A lot of homework though. The final project took a very long time. Be prepared for a lot of powerpoints and videos that may or may not bore you. This class is a lot of fun if you like to talk in class and Dr. Felter always encourages students to participate and add to the discussion.

Comment:
She makes numerous spelling errors yet critiques other students for mistakes. Has a rude remarks when lack of participation. Doesn't elaborate on review work and how to better discussion posts, or essays. Clumps work together, not very organized. Would prefer if there was more clarity and respect with students.

I had Dr. Felter for Art History. She's extremely knowledgable about the subject. She's a little newer at teaching art history, so she often changes her mind on tests and quizzes and homeworks. But her number one rule is take ALL FIVE the tests and you won't have to take the final. It's worth it. And attend the weekly study groups.

I took 2 classes with Dr. Felter and, yes, we did plenty of work but I'm surprised that people didn't expect to read in an English literature class. She's open to creative and constructive criticism but does not stand for crap and disrespect. Tries to choose interesting and diverse pieces, and expects college students to know rules of english.

She is INCREDIBLY tough on grades, but also very supportive and I liked her as a person. Class discussions were always fun. But I will never take one of her classes again. The workload compared to my peers taking the same classes was much heavier. So many people tell me my B in her class is an A anywhere else.

A Very good professor. She will help anyone that seeks it. Promptly responds back to e-mail questions. You MUST do all work inorder to pass the course, any zero's, regardeless of your average, guarantees you a failing grade. Good course, learned most of what we did in my Sr. year or HS. Workload isn't too bad. Overall good course.

Overload of reading and writing assignments. Enjoyed the material covered. Online class. Tough to understand her from an online standpoint. Comes across as rude if work is not up to her standards.

I took the online course of English Lit 19th & 20th century, and the campus course. The online course is easier, but still requires a lot of work. Dr. Felter doesn't give you good grades, you need to earn them yourself. She's a great professor. I recommend her to anyone interested in literature and is willing to put in the effort to learn the mats.

I really liked the class. The only thing I had a little trouble with was the fact there were students that didn't do the discussions until the last day and they didn't peer review when they should have.Which left some of us hanging with no one to peer review. In all this class is fun and enjoyable.

This was an online class and I think you loose some face to face but online I enjoyed her sense of humor. She was good about saying what you want in discussion as far as having your own personality. tons of reading and a lot of writing. Maybe that was due to a summer class?

She was miserable! It was my first online class and she didn't even give me the slightest slack. I am usually an A student in English but not this time. Every time I e-mailed her, she'd respond back promptly- with nothing but rude comments. The assignments aren't bad but there is a lot of reading.

Felter is the best English professor at CCC. She is smart, funny, and knows her stuff. She's challenging, but is fun. She prepared me for a 4-year school english class. Again, she's the best!

I actually had to drop her class bc of issues outside of school and when i went to discuss it with her she talked down to me so i felt as though it was pointless to explain myself. I don't think she's a bad teacher, just doesn't except any work not being done - understandable, but equally impossible at the time
