For all those reading these amazing reviews, let me offer a word of caution. Expect exams with 20 questions, one meticulously graded project worth 10% of your grade, and only three exams (each worth 25%). This is the first class I have taken in which instead of earning your grade, you are penalized for every small missed detail. RIP 4.0s...

Comment:

Loved this class!! Very knowledgable professor and always brings energy to the classroom. She gives you all the materials to succeed on the exams (except for the one curveball question). She made me WANT to visit her in office hours and i hate doing that. She is caring and is everything you want in a professor! Mean, not cruel was her quote lol!

Comment:

Professor Frye is an amazing professor. Her lectures are wonderful and she explains concepts very well with an upbeat attitude. Her tests can be tricky though as she likes to throw in curve balls. Make sure to always study hard on the conceptual portion. There is also one very straight forward project. She gives good feedback as well.

Comment:

Frye was fantastic, seriously great. The stuff is tough, for sure, but if you show up to class and take good notes, you'll be totally fine. Her tests are quite do-able even if they are weighted quite a bit. The homework is an easy 100% (gotta love "Check My Work") and the Bloomberg project is actually quite fun. Take Frye!

Class is fine. You get formula sheets for the test, but you MUST understand the concepts fully. Study the lecture slides and the homework. If you can complete the homework with no help and understand WHY you will do fine. A great opportunity to learn corporate finance but you must put in the time to actually understand what your doing.

By far the best professor I have had since I arrived at UCF in 2017. Dr. Frye is very knowledgeable about corporate finance and she cares very much so about whether her students actually understand the material. If you go to class, take notes, and do the homework, its a pretty easy A. (I barely got a B in bus finance). Random EC for attendance.

Comment:

Phenomenal professor. She gives you all the tools you need to do well in her class and she is very approachable if you need additional help. I got As on all of her exams by doing the homework problems multiple times for the math portion and reading her slides and studying the review for the conceptual questions. Overall great class and professor.

Mrs. Frye is an excellent teacher. the class was kind of easy but the exam was little bit a vauge. She expect you to understand the concpet thoroughly. Other than that, She would give you good feedback, and resonse to your email within minute. overall great teacher.

I took her during summer A and the class was pretty easy. It is like business finance but a little more in-depth. Homework is unlimited tries and exams model the homework and her lectures. So go to class and do your homework to get an A.

This class is not made easy. Frye will explain things more complexly than necessary. So every class you'll need to de-code what she said so you can understand. Had to take this class twice.

She knows her stuff. Tests are pretty tough and written, go to class or study a lot or do both to get decent grade. She's really helpful at office hours too

Tells her students all semester that she's going to curve, and when the end of the semester comes she simply rounds .5 and up, clearly not knowing the difference between "rounding" and "curving". Denied me a B with a 79.4 and provided absolutely no help, refused to reply to emails. My GPA suffered. So much for "really caring about her students".

She gives you a chance to redeem yourself with the cumulative which will replace an exam grade & also be the final grade. On the other hand she does expect you to earn all your points. She does give 2 extra credit points to do a review sheet before exam exam. Which is 6 points. But she won't curve your grade even if you're 1% close smh

Love this professor!! I took this class with another professor and failed and I passed her class with a B. She really cares about her student and will use any opportunity to help! Take her, you will not be disappointed!

Class was pretty tough but i took the cumulative final which counts as 2 exam scores and it all worked out. She uses connect so you will have to do LearnSmarts and Homework. To do well on test go over all homework questions and understand the review questions in depth. She likes to throw a few curve ball obscure questions on her tests so be ready.

Professor Frye is the best corporate professor at UCF. She is extremely helpful and understanding to situations. She is always willing to help you understand the material and finance in general. Test are challenging but fair if you have studied the material and done the math problems. I would strongly recommend her

Professor Frye is such a wonderful person she is there to help at all times. The material is hard but if you keep up with the connect problems and go to class you'll be fine. Textbook isn't needed. she weighs your highest exam 30% and the other 2 at 25%.. make sure you attend class she tends to help you out more if she sees your face!

Dr. Frye is very intelligent but I felt she taught way too quickly. I usually had to spend a lot of time teaching myself the material but she is very helpful and quite fair. Make sure to study the online homework.
