Comment:

Completely useless as an advisor, more hurtful than helpful. I'm amazed that his overall rating is as good as it is. Few grading items, so look out if you have one bad one. My first non 'A' grade. Ouch!

Comment:

Dr. Hesse is one of the best professors I've ever had. He helped me land my first PR job with a great firm. He's helpful and motivating. Dr. Hesse gets to the point and then class is over, as it should be. He believes in hands-on experience, not useless tests, so he does a lot of projects. Come to class, be inquisitive, do the work. You'll be fine.

Dr. Hesse knows a lot about Public Relations. He might not always be clear on due dates and what exactly hes wanting but you learn to adapt to his style. As long as you show up to class and ALWAYS have assignments when they are due you will pass with ease. He's prompt at returning e-mails and always willing to meet with you and help in any way.

I took this class with Hesse and Hansen teaching it. Hesse is great. Good teacher, doesn't linger on one subject for hours. I took COM 201 with Hesse and Hansen. Hesse is great. Hansen...she's another story.

Dr. Hesse is probably one of the best professors that I have ever had. He absolutely knows his stuff, and is willing to help out in any situation. He really cares about his students and their education. Don't be afraid to ask questions... he likes that. He is just a down to earth man willing to do anything to help.

CAKE WALK!!! Easiest class I've ever taken. Volunteer and you'll get a good grade. And we were always out early. Sometimes within twenty minutes.

Hesse is one of the best teachers I've had in the Communications department. He's laid-back, a nice guy, and he really knows what he's teaching...he has a lot of professional experience. He doesn't waste time --if he's done talking, you're out of class early, and you usually are. I recommend him.

I was in this professor's class when he was teaching at another school. He might scare you at first with some of his "rules," but hang in there and you're in for a great experience. He is truly one of the best teachers I've ever had.
