Professor Mita Ghosh is very rude and I will never recommend her class to anyone or her to any teacher . She does not respect other people and snatched my Lab out of my hand and smirked . The professor only provides two 10 page extra credit research papers and only count for 30 points total. Her tests cover topics not clearly covered in class. Her accent makes it hard to understand the chapters. If you miss a class, you fail. If you miss a lab, you fail. If you study, you fail.

She reads from the powerpoint the WHOLE class. You have to teach yourself everything. SHE MAKES YOU FEEL STUPID! DONT SKIP CLASS. Labs will help grade DONT SKIP LABS PLEASE!

This professor has a very strong accent so it is hard to understand. She doesnt actually teach, just reads information off PowerPoint. Test are nothing like assignments. Taking this class is basically like teaching yourself all the information from the power points. Highly recommend NOT taking a class with this professor.

This professor was amazing! I loved her! She was very helpful and taught me more than I learned in my lecture class. All I had to do was show up and do the labs and they were also fun! Had an amazing lab group!

Without a doubt the absolute worst professor I've ever had. She has a thick accent which makes it difficult to understand her at times and if you ask her questions she will just make you feel stupid, completely unhelpful and does not care about students. Tests are EXTREMEL DIFFICULT so be ready for lots of studying. Avoid her if you value your GPA.

I took this class as a freshman and wasn't expecting such heavy material. I barely passed this class with a C-. She had a pretty thick accent so it was hard to understand her. Her tests were extremely heavy and homework assignments were fair. There is a final powerpoint presentation project at the end. I recommend study groups for the test!!!

Since I'm a serious student, I found the class easy, but let me be frank, I was taking a Biology class for non-science majors, so it was pretty easy. It's simple, really. If you do the reading, and have decent retention, you'll pass her classes. If you're lazy, you'll struggle. She has a heavy accent, but I was able to understand her.

I took the hybrid version of this course. You can't skip the weekly meeting as there is a lab every class along with a quiz/test/lecture. Homework is important as the points add up. Tests were never too hard if you study a little bit. The professor herself isn't very clear and often rushes through things. Put forth the effort and you'll be fine.

I took her for lecture and lab, a lot of extra credit was given for the lab portion. Be prepared for your lab. She basically just tells you where everything is and you're told to get started. So, if you didn't go over the lab at home, you will have no idea what is going on! And forget asking a question, she makes you feel stupid!

gives great handouts for the tests, homework is super easy and she did offer extra credit. sometimes she is not very clear on what she wants with assignments. she likes to teach after the test and if you're taking longer than she wants she will rush you and say "hurry up" multiple times.

One of the worst instructors I ever had. Power points and labs were rushed and not explained well. Tests and quizzes didn't match the material covered. If students asked her questions, she brushed them aside. No help or communication whatsoever. Find someone else.

pretty pleasant, cant skip class, every meeting (i took a hybrid) was a lab andor test usually. alot of studying and work but if you do it than not too bad. working full time taking this class was hard due to the enormous amount of studying. tests can be tricky but labs are fun, usually gives you points for trying even if your not right.

I should have read her reviews here before I took her class. There were about 16 students in her class and half of them failed. I passed it with 76. So stingy to give points, too. Don't take her.

Loved this class...I took it during the summer, she was extremely helpful and if she feels like you aren't where you need to be she will pull you aside and reach out. I'm very surprised reading some of the negative comments. She was a pleasure, no class is suppose to be "easy" do your work and study and you shouldn't have a problem.

The class itself wasn't too difficult. The professor was not helpful and didn't dictate the lessons well. She made a lot of the lessons where you had to teach yourself. There is plenty of group work, but really no one knows what they are doing. She does seem to dislike most of her students. And worst of all, you won't ever laugh in the class.

HER class is very hard! you have got to study if you want to pass. she does not give study guides for test, however the final comes from worksheets through the course. there is a 5 test including the final, 2 lab test, and homework! if you want to pass basically you have to study! i wouldnt recommend taking her though

She clearly knew a lot about biology but she was unable teach it in a way that interested me. She was quite rude and seemed to dislike everyone. The actual work was very hard mainly due to the immense amount of information in each chapter and test. She also has a strong accent, making it hard to understand her sometimes. I would NOT recommend her!!
