Terrible teacher, all he does is fill the board with his notes without explaining anything, helpless.Uses the notes he took when he was a student(100yrs ago).He keeps talking about the teaching awards he got(100yrs ago).Very unprofessional, raises his voice, screams, uses inappropriate words-calls his students "stupid" at least 3 times every class.

This professor is the worst instructor i have ever come across. His HW's do not reflect the test, his exams are very hard, and his grading is not generous. My tip to you is to avoid, but if you can't you need to study the little things that he goes over in minute detail. Because he will make it worth half the exam. 1st test avg 48 final avg 33/100.

always rambles about his teaching awards - not sure how he got them is a terrible prof average on 1st test was 23, 2nd an 11. is very unhelpful usually just tells you something is wrong and to rederive it. if you like your gpa stay away

Had him for reactions engineering spent 6 hours a day studying JUST for his class average for the first test 23 i got a 20 gave us grad level work and when I asked him for help cause I had a problem he told me I shouldn't be having a problem and told me he wouldn't even look at the work I had so far AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS

Intro to Chemical Engineering was the easiest class ever. All we did was show up and listen to speakers everyday, and then at the end of the class we had to write a ten paged single spaced paper on a job in chem. engineering. While this was time consuming, I don't even think Smirniotis read them as everyone got an A. He didn't even show up somedays

"Peter" is the nicest person when it has nothing to do with the class, but he is a very very difficult professor!! He thought the undergrad book was "TOO CHILDISH" so he started teaching us grad stuff. His tests are IMPOSSIBLE. The majority of people got 20's or 0's on tests. AVOID if you can unless you can take a GPA HIT!

Probably the worst teacher I'll ever take. How else do I put this? He's a terrible person. An awful human being and he should not be allowed human contact. The fact that he's allowed to teach students is terrible. He is a useless teacher in terms of help and he gives the hardest tests imaginable. He should be fired. Point blank. I wish he would be.

If you didn't understand diff EQ you're SOL. Best way to do well is to STUDY THE HW SOLUTIONS, and if you don't understand them find someone who does!! His tests came mostly from HWs. Oh and memorize & understand the Reynold's Transfer Thrm as if your life depended on it!!! He uses it for EVERYTHING (and it's not in the book, which he never uses)

Horrible. God awful. The course should be tough, but he brings it to a whole different level of 'hard'. He expects too much, as if it's the only class we are taking. He doesn't follow anything but his own graduate notes. Class avg on exam 1 was a 15%. Final Grades: One kid got an A, one B, one c, a few Ds and the rest (half of us) failed.

He taught from his graduate notes. Didn't hardly explain anything. Asked us to review his teaching skills one day. When he read the notes he pretty much told us we were morons b/c we didn't understand his teaching style. Didn't open the book once. Hit the class average on both tests and still got a D- along with 80% of the class. NO CURVE!!

What a total TOOL. Failed over half the class. Brags that he failed half of his grad students in one class. I scored above average on both exams and still failed. Will NEVER take a class of his again...EVER. I would rather change Majors or schools first... Only wish I had dropped class like I thought about. Avoid at all costs!!!

Very unhelpful, very sarcastic, very unforgiving. There is no text for his prin. of momentum transport course. Tries to teach at a grad level. Homework has absolutely no relation to his notes. Exams aren't completely unreasonable, but are not easy if you make small mistakes. Avoid if you like your GPA.
