No need textbook, his lecture is everything in test, switched to online because of pandemic, he posted 4 exams with multi choices, you can look for answers online, easy A, just finish it before deadline, it's abt 2 weeks to do 50 questions. He's nice, organized, helpful, and knowledgable. Only tests, no homework. Record his lectures, spend time taking good notes and studying hard. Getting to understand the lectures saves a lot of your time.

Professor Merritt is a great professor! I wouldn't say he's easy or hard but as long as you come to class and take the exact notes he has then you should be fine. The exams were pretty much the notes. Some questions were more of applied questions and some came straight from the notes. This was an easy class to pass, however no extra credit or HW.

Dr. Merritt is one of the best teachers. I took his General-Biol 1 during this summer, he was an exceptional teacher for this subject. I did not take any Biology since 2015, plus I got an F for General Biology last term. I swear, I understood more with Dr. Merritt than my last teacher for Biology 1306. So,study every day 30 minutes and you'll get A

Professor Merritt is a great professor! His lectures are kinda boring, but he tells you everything you need to know in order to pass the class. The only grades you will receive are from tests. We had a total of 7 test, he drops the lowest 2, and doesn't count the final! His test reviews are exactly like the test, there's no way you could fail.

Taking his class reminded me why I love science so much! His lectures are amazing clear and to the point. He reviews in class for test & literally everything he lectured on is on the test. Hes passionate and very knowledgeable about science he doesnt need the book to guide him, that says a lot. My biggest advice record his lectures!

Best teacher at HCC. Recommend recording class while taking easy notes. Read over your notes while listening for review. Very understanding. 10/10 recommend. Final not counted agents you. Take home exam, do it with friends.

I loved taking this class so much. He is such a great professor. My class met once a week for three hours and it was on a Friday yet, I still looked forward to going to his class. He is passionate about the subject and you can tell through his teaching. He is so fair to his class and his tests are just like the review and lectures.

He is a good teacher. The only thing that I don't like about him is that he doesn't use PowerPoint, so it is a little bit hard to follow what he is saying. However, he is so nice and easy that I will definitely take him again.
