One of the best profs Ive ever had at MU. I took his conspiracy theory class and it was a blast. I found the class to be super informative and super interesting. If you have the opportunity to take it as an elective do it! You wont be disappointed.

Dr. Spicer is a nice guy, pretty funny too. But this class is filled with lectures and is only graded by 3 exams, D2L quizzes and one group project. He's a tough grader with the project. I wish he gave more assignments that could been added to the gradebook.

Spicer is a great professor! All assignments have a soft and hard deadline so you have plenty of time to do assignments. Lectures are long, but interesting, and test are fair but not super easy or hard.

Spicer is my favorite professor I've ever taken at Millersville. He's funny, intelligent, and challenges his students to do well, usually with great results. The Computer Assisted Journalism class is a little disjointed; he has so much to teach that he moves a little quickly, but he always makes sure everyone is on the same page. He's the best.

Dr. Spicer is by far one of the best professors in the comm department. He is lecture heavy, but his lectures are engaging an interesting, which is no easy feat for a research class. He is relatable, funny, and an all around great human.

One of the best professors I've had at Millersville! Spicer is so hilarious and gives great lectures that are easy to understand and relevant. Syllabus is very straightforward. He is the best Comm professor I've had! I handed in a paper a month late, emailed my reasons, and he didn't take any points off! SUPER understanding. Definitely take him!!

He's a pretty relaxed teacher, hilarious and accepts late work. However, he talks a lot about politics and it can get on your nerves. Sometimes I wish we would just focus on the actual content of the lecture. Way too many quizzes as well( that are usually 5 points)- meaning it's easy to fail the quizzes.

Spicer's a great guy -- his lectures get long, but they're packed with jokes and examples of heavy content. There is a lot of work in his 301 class, but he's great at working with his students to help them succeed. Great prof!

Spicer is probably my favorite professor I've ever had. He's hilarious, relatable, and cares about what he teaches. Press and society is a must-take if you're interested in journalism. He covers so many topics, and it's suitable for any level of interest in the subject. He really is a great guy. I wish I was a Comm major so I could take him again.

A bit all of the place with this class. You have many different assignments and he tries to cover way to much stuff in a semester. Just hang in there and take one day at a time. Its overwhelming in the beginning but just keep up with your projects.

I took 301 in spring '13 and struggled, retook it with Rob and fared much better. Not because it was easier, but because he is very clear on what he expects out of class and is very willing to help you every step of the way. He's funny, passionate about teaching and wise beyond his years. Makes 8 a.m. classes bearable. TAKE HIM!!!

He is one of the best and most thought-provoking teachers I have ever had. His class was interesting, but challenging a good balance of the two. He is an incredibly smart man, take advantage of his wisdom and take any class you can with him! Plus he is really funny.
