Sarah was really interesting. She taught me a lot but she wasn't the right teacher for me. Sometimes it felt like we were taking songwriting instead of lyric writing. Not good for folk musicians, but can help with jazz/r&b/pop.

I love Sarah! She genuinely cares about her students and gives awesome suggestions about songs presented in class. She is always willing to go over anything with you during her office hour if you make an appointment, whether it's a personal project or class related. I love her. Def recommend.

Sara is so so lovely. She really cares and gives great feedback. Her class is INCREDIBLY easy so if you're just a beginning songwriter you will feel very comfortable in her class. If you're more experienced you may be looking for more of a challenge but you'll still get some great feedback. I would recommend her to anyone!

sarah is the best. she cares about what she does and conveys that to all of us. teaches us what we need to get done, shows us examples, she's what it means to be an educator. i would reccomend her to anyone. she is the best!

She is the most amazing teacher at berklee that I've met so far. You can actually feel her passionate in music during her lecture. Really nice person, and always there to help you outside of the class. I took her for writing skills, and Arranging 1 and definitely learned a lot. she keep things well organized as well. Strongly recommended..

I had Sarah for ear training 1 and I was never afraid to tell her that she was my favorite teacher during my first semester. It was her first time teaching the class at Berklee but my ear improved so much, im so happy about it. She taught me so much and really helped me improve, definitely an amazing teacher in all her subjects.

The best teacher in Berklee! She is very passionate, her style of teaching is very clear and I have learned so much from her Writing Skills class, that I am looking forward to enrolling in arranging 1, which is still taught by her. I heard only great comments about her! I definitely recommend!

The main focus is to do your own thing. Your own project, during the class she gives examples which are inspirational but I didn't get to learn much theory behind arranging. Aside from this class I haven't got a chance to really be creative in the whole Berklee experience. But as far traditional methods it's very weak.

I took arranging 1 a few semesters ago, and honestly I didn't learn anything about arranging. Sarah is really cool, but all we did was work on our projects the whole time. We didn't use the books and there wasn't much instruction. If you want to learn the ins and outs of arranging I would take another teacher.
