The worst professor I have met in b school. Shows no interest in his students. Reply my long email with only two words, ignoring my questions. Dont know what he is talking about especially when he is trying to compare Starbucks with Ferrari. You have to speak every time. Take other professors for 351, never take Walton. (I dont know about his 350)

This man is terrible at teaching. While he is a nice person, he's a terrible professor. His grading on projects is completely arbitrary and erratic, and the way he carried out the course was absolutely ridiculous. There was no structure to his class whatsoever, and he would change huge things at the last minute. Tests were easy, projects were hard

Amazing professor and easy content but grading criteria/ direction for both midterm and excel are very vague. If he was more clear, I could have gotten A/A- but will probably B+ because of his vagueness and lack of direction.

Comment:
Walton used a lot of business scenarios in class to make it more realistic and interesting. He also makes sure everyone understands a topic before moving on, which is so important and helpful. In my opinion, the scoring for the midterm and excel projects were somewhat arbitrary, but overall it was a great class and it wasnt too difficult to do well

Professor Walton is a nice guy. You have to attend class though, as any class you miss he marks you down for. Do well on the excel projects because they can help boost your grade, although the exams aren't the hardest thing ever. The stuff you learn is super helpful, but you certainly have to work hard for a good grade.

Steve Walton is a really good professor. He makes sure that you understand the concepts in class. He won't mind repeating the concepts twice. He is really motivating and interesting to talk to. Did not really need the textbook, class notes and slides should be good enough. However, he is not too clear about the requirements for the excel project

Walton makes class interesting with many real-life scenarios and business cases, but most of reading and teaching is done online or with the book. Midterm and finals were difficult as only real grades. Group projects very helpful with bringing up grades. Go to TA office hours.

Not a great professor. Exams don't match study material at all. Style of teaching is annoying. Don't take if you want a good grade. Take if you want to pretend you're learning a lot about business, though he doesn't really give you anything more useful than common knowledge or basics.

Show up to class, pay attention and go to office HIS office hours if there is something that you are unclear about. The exam material is exactly what is covered in class. TA office hours weren't worth it. He's also a really cool guy once you get to know him; definitely go to his office hours whenever you can.

Great guy, great professor- hands down, one of the best at Emory. Tests and projects may be hard, but take this class for him. Just by listening to what he has to say, you can gain a lot of insight into the complex world of business decision making. And believe it or not, he makes it interesting.

He is an INCREDIBLE professor! His tests are fair if you just study the learning objectives. It is not an easy A, but you will learn a LOT from him. He's always willing to help you if you don't understand and goes out of his way to make sure you do. Best professor ever!

You can tell he is genuinely interested in his students understanding of the subject matter and the class is pretty interesting. That being said, his lectures are quite hard to follow since he draws arrows spewing off in every direction. The tests are straightforward but the projects SUCK SO MUCH. Was expecting to get a higher grade than what I got

Walton's class is very difficult. He is an enthusiastic teacher and is usually available if you need help, but the manner in which he presents the material is disorganized and hard to follow.

Friendly teacher, but I got slaughtered on the exams. Wasn't perfectly clear during class lectures. I thought I didn't do too bad with the curves, but in the end his class killed my gpa
