I took her hybrid and I felt comfortable taking her class. It was a fast past but I was able to do it. Not hard at all I liked her. She was very understanding. Just speak up and shell be there to help you.

Material is covered at a fair pace. Activities are done in small groups. Participation points count toward overall grade, so missing class equals missing points. Tests are fair & have a one paragraph essay section that she talks about beforehand. Very nice lady, ask Q's if you're lost. One group assignment for final project.

Comment:

Profesora Jenkins is a lovely teacher. Super nice, interactive, young. My only negative comment would have to be the fact that she runs her class like if we were in HS. Doing every little activity/assign. together, reviewing each others papers/projects and being a little bit slow paced.

If you do not feel comfortable with Spanish don't bother because most likely you will not pass her class. Even completing all homework with an over 90% grade, A on midterm and final, attended class everyday, participating daily, etc, etc. I really did try. My grade was a B. I can't imagine how she graded everyone else who had difficulty in class.

Very good professor. She is very professional and pretty much expects the same out of her students, do the homework, participate in class and show up, she is fair with her attendance policy too btw. Study for the midterms and put some effort into the final and you got yourself a passing grade. Oh! And 10 hours of lab work too.

Prof Jenkins is an excellent teacher. She is really nice. Three test, a paper, oral exam and the final is a group presentation. Honestly, if you study and do all the homework, which is online and a lot, you'll be fine. She also provides extra credit and her classes are really enjoyable. You have to do Lab hourse as well in the succes center!

Tamari Jenkins is honestly really nice and approachable. She memorizes your name and creates a real intimate classroom experience. That being said I never thought that spanish 1 would come to be the hardest class I have taken. There are three tests and between each test expect about 5-6 hours of online home work that feels robotic and hard.

Jenkins is a great teacher. She is very thorough with grammar and goes over Spanish cultures as well. She definitely pushes you and makes you work for the grade. She is a fair grader. Her class rules do not get broken, no exception. She is very clear about what she expects and what the criteria is on each assignment.

I'm still enrolled in this class, and I want the semester to be over already. She is late to every class, and reads the book word by word. I could do what she does at home, but if you don't show up she takes away points. She makes heritage speakers feel as if they are illiterate. I would not recommend her or take her again.

She's clear and easy to understand which is a plus if you're not a native speaker. She's also easy to talk to so if you have a question, ask. She's doesn't patronize you and isn't condescending. You need the textbook and participation or you don't pass. Also, group presentation. She's also ridiculously beautiful, has nice hair and dimples.

If foreign language isn't your strong point but you need to take one, take it with Jenkins. She's a very nice woman who is an excellent educator. I was worried going into class because I struggled VERY much with language in high school, but Jenkins did a great job at teaching in a way where you'd learn and remember. Go to class tho! Don't skip!

Great teacher! She is not a native spanish speaker but speaks very well for not being one. She is very helpful and is eager to teach! Grades a lot on participation and homework. Gives study guides for exams. The only negative thing I have to say is that she rushed through the last couple of lessons in order to make it on time for her deadline.
