Professor Eyring makes chemistry seem like a foreign language. In comparing my test with other chemistry students his were much harder and had much more useless information.

Very difficult. I had to teach myself everything, and if you don't already have strong background in chemistry, I would definitely not recommend this class. Nothing he said would be on the exam was on the exam and studying is extremely difficult.

He does not teach the material well at all during lecture, and the exams are extremely difficult. Going to discussion is helpful as the TA's are usually good. If you can help it, do not take this class from him! You will have to teach yourself everything!

He teaches us completely NOTHING. things he tells us on the test are actually NOT on the test. Only helpful people are your TA's. this is a class that you will need to teach yourself in.....have fun.

I can't believe I had to take this class to get a degree. I had to teach myself everything because this man would just go on tangents about things that had nothing to do with the material at all! He is a nice guy and everything, but he gets way too distracted and the students end up suffering when exams come around.

Uses "Mastering Chemistry Online" for homework, but handwritten exams, which did not corrilate AT ALL! Way too many students in the class, not condusive to asking questions or learning for that matter. He knows chemistry well but not how to teach it! And the Lab TA didn't even speak english. Seriously!

Old man needs to retire and let some young blood teach a subject like this. A little more organization and teaching effort would be very much appreciated.

He is wonderful! His lectures are very interesting. The subject is tough, but if you read your book and go to class you will be set. Eyring has a huge heart and is interested in knowing his students. He is extremely intelligent and knows what he is talking about!
