Dr. O'Donnell is an amazing person. Not only is he the President of the College and its chief fundraiser, he has authored numerous articles and books, he has eight children, and travels the globe promoting the interests of the College. In addition, he is a Professor in every sense of the word. His in-depth knowledge is stunning. Dr.O'D simply rules

The problem is that he uses the same tests every year, or like every other year. So you can always find an upperclassman who can get u one of the old 'A' exams. Then memorize it and pass the class. I don't care how great a prof is, when u don't have to waste time reading for class because you've got an old exam to study u just aren't gonna do it

Class is very engaging. He loves a good class discussion, and his lectures are interesting--even to me, who hates history! Amazing how he ties everything in. If you ask for help, he will discuss anything with whatever time he has. Tests however are rather tough, identifications are almost impossible to study for.

Comment:
He is a nice guy, but his class is not very engaging. It is more just listening to the good Doctor's take on History, and all you have to do to get an 'A' is to regurgitate this back to him on the test. AND he uses the same tests every year, talk about lazy! Not to mention it makes students study less and rummage for old tests to memorize more.

"Show me what you know". I hate that phrase! On his tests just write down everything that pertains to the question, and everything that might have pertained but didn't. Seriously, with this guy, quantity is better than quality. On the up side, he gives you chocolate during the final.

Very good teacher, excellent speaker. Tests are usually focused on identification questions and thematic essays. To bad he only teaches one course of history and theology.

The man never takes a breath, which makes hand cramps more common. Just read all the Plutarch, and you're fine.
