Wonderful! she is pretty hard, but class discussions are really interesting and she does a good job of grafting social and philosophical issues into the class. be sure to speak up in class and it helps if you write your papers plato-style. it's a lot of work, but genuinely worth it. (be sure to try to bring out her sense of humor!!!)

I have never seen a professor/teacher so dedicated to helping her students. Myers will seriously skip her dinner if students want to meet with her then. I LOVE this lady, she is the BEST. Period. Class was intense at times, definitely worked hard for my A. But soooo worth it. I can't say enough about her.

Myers is the best! You basically sit around and have very intense, interesting discussions about the books. She has a very dry wit...very funny, very smart. She really reaches out to students individually and works with them. You do have to read and write a couple of papers, but that's it...well worth it. Great class, great prof!

Dr. Myers always finds time to help students and exhibits enormous patience. Her comments on returned papers are highly detailed and helpful. Her knowledge of her subject is unequaled. She can always provide interesting background information, adding to the interest of the discussions.

WOW!... This class was a reality check. I swore I was a great writer coming into this course, but v.m. was totally demoralizing. She has HIGH expectations for her students! You will learn a lot about the proper way to write. Lectures were BORING!! I recommend collaborating with her on your papers.

Uggh! The worst class ever (material-wise)! Myers is way above most of her students' heads, and she holds us to a higher standing, say, oh, doctorate level. She has an air of superiority about her, and that made it hard for me to like her.
