Ray is awesome! You WILL learn and he has so much experience in the engineering/chem fields that he knows what to emphasize. Really intelligent & very down to Earth. If you want a kickazz professor that will ensure you learn the material, take him.

Had him for mate25 lab-basically this guy is amazing.He really knows so much information, always engaging, always helpful. He is more interested in you learning than anything else. He can be a tough grader but will walk you through what he expects. This guy rocks-he is less pretentious than most profs, very relaxed, and helpful.

He is a wonderful and engaging professor. When it comes to Ray, its like the pharse "don't judge a book by its cover." He is extremely, extremely intelligent and so willing to share his knowledge with his students. I recommend him to any student, you will definitely learn a lot from him.

He is a good teacher, but most of his stories and examples involve sex, drugs, alcohol, violence or general mischief. It gets pretty annoying. His labs are easy, but he rambles on and does not allow much time for you to complete them.

Had him for seminar & didn't have any problems. Easy to follow and let's us out early. I can tell he always has his jokes rehearsed, so get ready to hear some corny ones. Entertaining guy. I plan on taking him for Mate25.

For CHEM 1B Lab only -- Extremely personable, and very chatty. Sometimes spends too much time telling bad jokes and talking about TV, politics, his life story, etc. though helpful when you can get him to focus. Fun lab, relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

Wynn is awesome! He's super entertaining but also straightforward, nice, and more than happy to help. He made chem lab fun! If more teachers were like Wynn, I would NEVER miss a class! Take him, you will NOT regret it!!!

Wynn is real cool guy. His labs aren't hard at all. His main concern is your written reports so do a good job on those. If you do well on those, you should have a pretty good lab grade. He's real fun to talk to. He might come off a little stern on the first day of class, but as long as you don't BS him, everything's all good in the hood.

Grades the reports fairly hard, but everything else he'll just give you a 100 on. He's more of a student than a teacher really. Good part of that is, he's a lot of fun. Bad part of that, he don't really explain the labs or goes around to make sure you do things right. I recommend.

This guy is awesome! One of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Blends in with the class more like a student than an instructor. He is a fair grader on lab reports, but he can be a little picky at times. Make sure you pay close attention to detail when writing your report, and don't leave anything out no matter how small it is.

Awesome Instuctor. Definitly worth waking up at 7:30 AM for. He makes the class interesting, he is not intimidating like most instructors, always willing to help. By far one of the best instructors at San Jose State. The number of college graduates would multiply exponentially if every instuctor were like Wynn Ray.

Took him for 1B lab. He's an awesome lab instructor. Tells it like it is and loves chatting it up in lab. Very helpful and knows what he's doing. Just make sure you read the lab BEFORE doing it, since he really doesn't lecture on it. Don't ask him a question that can be answered by reading the manual. He'll get annoyed. Have common sense.

Best lab instructor I've ever had. He's very laid-back and makes a lot of jokes but at the same time, he's very knowledgable and helpful. Going into the course, I thought I was going to hate going to lab (mainly 'cause there's two labs a week) but he made it fun and enjoyable.
