I totally understand why people left negative comments here. He basically read text books through out the class. I almost learned all by myself by reading a text book. However, tests are predictable. As long as you do homework, you can do well on quizzes and easily get A. If you only care about your grade, you won't regret taking his class.

Should have taught us how to use our calculators. Difficult to understand at times because of his accent. Not much for answering questions clearly. Allows note card and formula sheet on all tests including final. Extremely boring class. Writes down same information in book on the chalkboard. Not very good final prep. Easy class to pass.

He has an accent, get over it. He is a great professor but class can get boring. You have 4 Exams and a Final. He drops the lowest grade and replaces with the final. You can use a 3x5 notecard on each exam. 50pts EC if you do all hw assigned during this semester. DO THE HOMEWORK and put effort into it! I wouldve got an A if I tried harder.

He reads to you word for word from the textbook for the entirety of the 2 hour class. He does not even attempt to do a problem on the board to explain how to do the curriculum. He mumbles EVERYTHING. There are no study guides for anything and your grade is based off of four exams. To take this class you better know stats really well beforehand.

Took him for Stats 300. Passed with an A. Has an accent, but you get used to it. Lectures from the book and writes all notes on the board, but copy it. Not very loud, so find a seat towards the front. Allows a 3x5 card for each exam, and he does tell you what will be on the test. Assigns all odd problems since answers are in the back of textbook

The lectures are extremely long and boring- come straight from the book. You could literally read the chapter at home and get as much from doing that as you would from sitting in the class for almost 2 hours. Unless you like watching someone copy the text book word-for-word onto a CHALK BOARD.

I hate to say it but I don't think he should be teaching anymore... His lectures are painfully boring. He literally will sit down and read from the textbook. He does not have very good social interaction skills so asking him questions is hard. I don' to think he is a bad guy but his class was literally painful. Would not recommend.

For those that gave a negative review of this professor due to his accent--good look with your xenophobia. He is hands down the best math professor I've ever had. He is extremely thorough and simplifies complex statistical formulas so that a baby could figure it out. He is also very sweet and funny! Just show up and do the work, you will do fine.

Prof Lesage is really great. His lectures make things very easy to understand, and his expectations are clear. He will go over what will be on the tests ahead of time, and does offer extra credit. He is also funny and very nice. Some of the tests were hard, but with the extra credit, you will do fine if you study and actually do the homework.

He has a strong accent that it's hard for me to understand. The tests were fair, long, and some not mentioned on the review test. He's really picky and strict during the testing time. I'm struggling in his class right now though I've tried really hard. If you'r not a fan of math and want to pass STATS, don't take him.

Mr. cheese and croissant is the worse stats prof ever. This guy couldnt teach you stats to save his own life. Plus he has a super heavy accent so you cant understand a thing he is saying. Test questions are different from hw. The test a super hard with no study guide. Also the way he "teaches" is different then from the book.

Take this class seriously. Really heavy accent. He is helpful in class but offers no quizzes. Tests are hard, no study guide. Test questions are different from HW. This class is not an easy A you really have to know what you are doing.

This professor was very hard to understand. I wish he had more power points or somthing to help. He just tried to read from book and talked really fast in foriegn accent. I started to feel bad asking him to repeat himself so often. If this is your second time taking "Stats" and already know concepts you are good, but if it is first time good luck.

Took this class during the summer semester and it was great initially, then came quiz time and it was miserably challengig. He didn't cover equations that were on the quiz in class.I asked him to specify which equations were going to be on the next exam and he made a joke out of it by saying, "if you sing for me then maybe I"ll tell you." I dropped

Prof Lesage is very clear if you ask him questions, especially in class. Tests are mult. choice w/ 3X5 card, some fill-in. Just show up to class and you will be just fine. He uses a clear textbook. He's a nice guy and very funny. As for the accent, you get over it after a couple weeks. Take him! I hate math and this class is just fine.

He does have a strong accent but you get used to it. He's very humorous, and a lil scatter brained, if you try and talk to him about something after class he doesn't really understand you and just shoosh's you away. You HAVE to do the homeworks and attend class unless you are very good at teaching yourself concepts. His tests are relatively easy.

The accent is extremely strong. Many students ask for him to repeat stuff. Many outside the class waiting for the next class, complained on how bad the teaching was.Test r 1/2 multiple choice and fill in blank. Not too hard. Many fall asleep in class cuz its super dull and boring most of the time.
