Comment:

Zehra makes you work hard, but it pays of in the end. Not only do you learn a lot about the subject, but you also get rewarded for the hard work. Finished the class with a grade in the 90s. Not recommended for those who are not willing to put a lot of effort into learning the subject.

Comment:

While I respect her and think she is a very knowledgable professor, she makes herself very difficult to understand. Not only does she have an accent, which is actually not too difficult to understand, but she isn't very good at explaining the content of the course. I think she wants everyone to succeed and enjoy her class, but it's impossible.

I took three courses with her, this was the second one. Thanks to her, I learned how to do research and write a "real" paper--not just a little essay. She pushes her students but provides guidance, as well. The syllabus is 10 pages long, spelling out everything!

I took her for Women In Developing Countries this semester as well as Islamic Culture. She is an EXTREMELY demanding teacher. If you are someone that skates by doing nothing dont take her class you will fail. 18 pg term paper and lots of reading. However shes very knowledgeable and a great teacher if you really want to learn.

Zehra, was amazing! She was very supportive when I finally explained I was working and studying fulltime. Don't take her class if you hold the bar low for yourself. She rightly expect her students to perform. Importantly, Zehra treated us all like a boss would in the real world. Essentially do your job and you'll do well.

AVOID. she is difficult to understand and expects the class to read a ridiculous amount without explaining anything. she expects students to lead the entire class and is intimidating when you do talk. you might as well read on your own, sitting in that class is worthless and awkward. only half of us survived until the end of the semester.

Avoid at all costs. Only D I've ever gotten in my college career and I worked my ass off in her class. Shes completely useless and get's annoyed when you ask for help. Also, her accent makes her nearly impossibly to understand...and if your a guy, she'll inevitably hate your guts.
