I took business law with Dr. Deer son in 1978. I found her to be one of the most interesting and motivating person that I ever met. I chose a different path, but had I pursued law, she would have been my mentor! :)

She was late every day. She calls on students who never know the answer and humiliates them. Her exam was difficult and is not an easy grader - its unclear why students in my class got the grades that they did. NOT HELPFUL outside of class.

TIPS: don't take 5 classes if you are working full-time and want to take this class. She expects you to know that 5 pounds book. U will lose track with all your classes. She gives nice curves. If you don't know her material and finds out she will ask you questions every class. She always available for tutoring.

Graduated NYIT in 1974. She was the best Professor. Looked forward to her classes. Learned to love Business Law. It was very interesting and she encouraged class participation. Also used her as my attorney for a number of years. Tony Squitieri

One of the best teachers ive ever had. Aslong as you do the work you will do fine. Tells you exactly what you need 2 know for the tests, extremely helpful, and aslong as you logically think out answers you will do fine.

I took her Business Law 1 & 2 classes 20 years ago. She is extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed her classes immensely. You can think you have the material covered well bit her exams will challenge you. She is an excellent teacher - best one I had at NYIT and my major was Cmp Science.

Dr Deerson is a Credit to the NYIT community. She is a practicing attorney and truly loves the law. If you pay attention in class and read the chapters you will do well. She believe our degrees should mean something, do expect gifts. This is college, you have to think and study, imagine that! A STRONG command of english is necessary! NO SLANG!

Very hard professor and tough. Tests were the most difficult thing. Like the other comments on here, any answer could be the right answer. So you have to pay extra attention in class. The textbook is not enough info to study from.

This lady thinks we all know the law. she thinks we are born johnny cochrans. Her exams can be easy, but when you get the grade back, youll be so shocked. any choice on her exam can be an answer. wtf?
