Comment:

Al is a very engaging teacher. He makes the material interesting, current, and applicable. His laid-back style and down to earth mannerisms can be a little much for some of you more straight-laced individuals, but for most it is a welcome reprieve from the usual. Just make sure you ask questions and participate in class, and you'll do fine!

Al may not be for the easily offended, but he is a great teacher. It did sound like his 300 class was much easier workload wise than the others. Class was always entertaining. He certainly isn't boring. I approve.

Harder class than his 300 section because there is a mandatory midterm and a optional final if you do badly on it. Half the class failed the midterm because of his unbalanced grading scale and his lectures are very comical but he goes off on a tangent half the time. No hw but three assignments, and a 10 to 15 page research paper.

believe what you've heard!!! take this man! you'll lose some calories from laughing so much, and connect some brain nerves while your at it. test is a thinker though, try and get the whole picture behind theories, don't define them. TAKE IT!!!

A very outrageous and funny class. He's really like a comedian. It's an easy pass. Attendance not mandatory, be prepared to talk about sex and things that are normally inappropriate. You will definitely LOL a few times. But I got the feeling that he was giving A's to everyone but I ended up with a B, so he's not as easy as he seems. Take with him.

A very funny class but to be honest you wont learn much because it's basically a class to rant in and Bullcrap in. The in class assignments are easy and there is only a couple of essays to write with the 10 page research at the end of the course that can be less than 10 pages if you wish. Other than that he is quirky and weird but it's funny.

I took all for 422 and 300 in the same semester. I will tell you the truth, same jokes, some insight, doesn't make you do all that much. But that disapointed me a little. I feel like I got short changed on some content in 422 and a lot of skills from 300. Al is awesome don't get me wrong. He tells is like it is, on his fence. Why not take him

Al rocks! i took the class over winter, but Al made it decent. the class was not too hard but at times i struggled. i'm taking him again for 422, the only problem is there is a little overlap between classes. he can be inappropriate at times, but its always in good fun. take this class.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! skillicorn is horrible at teaching this class, kielwasser rules. hands down. he has the most interesting way of teaching: he doesnt use powerpoint or a ton of notes. he teaches from his knowledge of teh subject. very smart and funny man. i got 2 wu's from skillicorn before my eyes were opened to him. take this class!!!

in the words of Peggy Bundy, "oh Aaaal." yup, Kielwasser is so so awesome. really did feel like it was a comedy club, well worth the 650 bucks I paid for the added section. class was actually fun, I looked forward to going 'cuz you NEVER know what this guy is gonna say. we pretty much played for 3 months. only made us write a 5 page paper, not 10.

This guy is awesome. We didnt do much but at the same time we learned what we were there to learn. He is easy going and if you bring candy or food the class will be much better. Al is a funny guy and much better than Scilikorn. You'll love this class

I feel that Al exposed us to a number of terms and forms of underground media while not putting any real emphasis on anything. Perhaps the exposure was the point of the class as opposed to having a list of ideas we would have a grasp of by the end of the class. I do not feel like the class had very much focus.

Best class i ever took. I learned new concepts and had loads of entertainment. He is unique in every way. His lectures might lead him off topic, but he gets to the point and uses an interesting choice of media content to prove his point. Its an easy A, what else do you want???

Comment:

One of the most unique classes I've taken. Some days you feel like your in a comedy club and before you know it your an hour in deep and trippin on this guy. You will learn a lot from his "R" rated lecture beacuse they are very effective. Recommended to someone who wants to have an easy class to complement an already heavy load of classes.
