Would give all zeros if it was an option. Does not give any clear criteria until after an assignment is graded, expects you to know what to do. Taking her class is like flushing money away. Does not teach anything, but more than happy to tell you about her PHD and experience. Save yourself the headace and potential academic probation, AVOID HER!!!!

OK, I'd say avoid her, but there are usually only 4 sections of this class offered every semester, and she taught half of them this semester. I did fine because I write well, but she's no help at all, really just an incredibly bad teacher, and the English department will do nothing about her.

Makes class seem harder then it actually was. Least helpful prof I've ever had. Only teacher to ever make me cry! Is an easy class to get an A in if you jump through hoops and are a decent writer. Pain in the ass though, avoid if possible.

I can't believe she has'nt been fired. Over 1/2 the students dropped (only a few did in other sections). She makes easy work difficult to understand. Her excessive absences cram deadlines (although gives an F to students with 6 absences). If you're a good writer and can put up with her rudeness, go for it, but PLEASE DON'T take her class.

Worst prof ever. She's mean/rude to students (embarasses students to make a point). There's weeks of no class to work on your paper. She expects you to do papers with lil' help from her & in theory the material's easy but she makes it hard. The book and lectures conflict so you don't know which to reference. It's NOT worth it to put up with her.

Amanda has a very unique teaching style, where she'll challenge you to the extreme but in the end be very generous in your grade. If you want to be successful in graduate school, take a class form Amanda. If you're going to pump gas or take my order at mcdonalds, avoid her classes at all cost. :) She's really hot too when she's mad

Moody, condescending, made students afraid to ask questions, constantly changed requirements for assignments, will give you no credit if you're a small paragraph (3 lines) off from the page requirement, but I admit was very understanding at times.

She is very moody, some days she will try to be really nice, and other days she will yell at you for nothing. I really don't understand her. Even though she seems really tough, i don't think she would give anything below a C, if you come to class all the time, and turn in papers.

Never take her if you can avoid her class. She is rude and unhelpful. Most frustrating class I have ever taken, she does not know how to communicate or teach and just belittles students. Avoid at all costs! Knows her stuff but cannot teach or be helpful what-so-ever!

Dr. E-A is awesome. Her class is difficult, but I just tried my best on every paper, and got a solid A. Occasionally, she can sound angry when she lectures, but it's just a trait I've seen many professors adopt when they get over-passionate. She's a great help outside of class, too!

If your mama told you english 101 was easy or your friends told you they didn't read the book, do no take this Prof. She only focuses on politics and more politics. Very liberal conservative students receive lower grades. Acts like its 400 level.
