Mrs. Salvatore is no joke. Her class is tremendous if you have the motivation to give it your all. If you dont on the other hand then youre screwed. Put in the time and it will pay off. Regardless by the end of the course your writing will improve greatly.

I am sitting in this class right now, towards the end of the semester, wondering how much I got out of this class. The fact that I am not paying attention right now probably speaks for itself. You choose whether that says more about me or her. I feel bad because it seems like she tries, but she only lets her opinions direct the class discussions.

Terrible. Her class is incredibly dry and boring, and so is most of the reading material. She is extremely rude to her students; the ones who participate and the ones who don't. I did not improve at all in this class, and I hope I never have to take this woman again. She gives a lot of extra credit, but there's a quiz every class.

Hands down the worst professor I've had at Rider to date. Classes drag on forever, the lectures are completely sterile without any new or exciting content. There's nothing to make you care about what you're learning. The readings are some of the worst and some of the best. Prepare for a quiz every single class. I learned and gained nothing.

The driest class I have ever taken. Lectures are super long and incredibly boring, and she talks until the last possible second of class. Lots of work. We were assigned two papers, the latter was treated as a final paper. In addition there are both a midterm AND a final. You barely have time to read through the books she assigns for class.

Professor Salvatore is extremely helpful with writing papers. She is extremely brilliant with writing techniques, and will meet at anytime outside of class to help with every paper. ASK for help and grade will highly improve. Overall one of the best english professors.

Definitely knows her stuff when it comes to literature and English; interesting at times though sometimes material can get a bit dry. Class was team taught and only 10 kids so that's a plus, but her comments on papers are helpful and you definitely improve as a writer by the end of the course.

Dr. Salvatore is the kind of teacher that really wants to see her students succeed. I took many classes with her and she was my advisor. My time with her was invaluable. Her classes could be tough, but if you worked hard, participated in class and thought critically, you would do well.

Middle of the road class. It had potential, but the criteria she picked was terrible. The class is team taught but she clearly dominated the entire semester. She won't let you finish your thoughts if she feels they are even slightly wrong, and even when a discussion becomes interesting, she instantly turns to a less exciting question.

i had her for both Great Ideas classes. She's very helpful so long as you care about your work. if you have no interest in literature, you will probably dislike her because she is tough on grading papers. however, you will definitely be a better writer after her class.

She's really nice and very knowledgeable about all aspects of literature, but her comments on your essays are impossible to understand. She's clear when she gives lectures though. Depending on how you feel about literature, you'll either love what she teaches or hate it. She is a good but not extraordinary professor.

Dr Salvatore isn't the **** people are calling her- she'll work for you if you work for her. She called me at home to help with a paper. She rewards enthusiasm with enthusiasm. I already took one of her classes, and I'm signed up for 2 more. She's great.
