He's a pretty good professor and made the class interesting because of his tangents. There was not many assignments just two papers. Very little notes but important for tests. Show up and get a B. Actually read the books, get an A.

he is hilarious! he definitely makes the class interesting. he will call on you and put you on the spot, but he's harmless! just pay attention when he goes over the books in class. i seriously would take again. he is a very intelligent and witty, adorable old man!

Grade for the course is based off attendance, 2 essays, midterm, and final. I didn't buy the books (besides the ones that the essays were based off of) because he discussed them in class. Overall easy course, but beware of Angarano. He will put you on the spot with personal questions, make "jokes" that are cringe-worthy- making you uncomfortable.

A bit of a scattered class, there is no real syllabus and grading is based solely on attendance, a midterm, and final. Each week you read a book and he lectures the entire period, randomly calling on those not paying attention. Overall a nice guy, but definitely an arbitrary grader who infuses his own opinions on everything you read/write

Read the books, go to class and take notes and you will do fine. There are a lot of books to read, but only two 7-10 page papers, a midterm and a final. He lets you hand in the papers early for helpful comments. The tests are easy if you pay attention in class, even though it seems like he is going off on tangents. Overall, great professor.

Really fun class, if you need a W class take it with him. This class is super easy for a W class. only 2 papers. there are alot of books you have to read (i think my class had 7) but its definitely passable if you pay attention in class because he reviews everything, tests are kinda tricky so you gotta study.

Entertaining and sweet prof, I personally had no interest in the class or the books, but he definitely made the class amusing. The 2 papers are easy, but they don't count towards your final grade. Tests can be kind of tricky so make sure you write down and study everything he says about the books and the notes on the board. Overall easy class.

I don't know what everyone is talking about! I think this was the WORST experience I ever had for an English course. His tests are ridiculous, and there is no point in reading. I got a C- on my first exam, even though I read EVERYTHING and I am usually an A student in English. Not only that, he puts you on the spot with his personal questions.

He is one of my favorite engish professors. There's alot of reading, about 10 novels. But he goes over everything! Papers were straighforward and if you go to him a few days before the paper is due and have him look over your rough draft you're grade is sure to be higher. I would recommend him to everyone.

I loved his class! the test arent that easy just because you have to read everything all the 10 novels he assigns! but besides that the class was sooooo interesting! and he explains everything so well.
