Dr. Cary is incredibly intelligent and helpful. He is always willing to take the time to clarify things that you aren't sure about, but prepare yourself to work hard on revising papers. He is big on writing simply and clearly.

very tough. a brilliant man, but one that will indeed challenge your Christian faith. believes some . . . questionable things, such as the inherent goodness of Satan (i warn you!). but he's a brilliant guy. also, he reads Dr. Seuss aloud at Christmas. from memory. =) & he opens with prayer chants often. quite interesting & different.

INCREDIBLE! one of the best teachers at eastern, in my opinion. he will challenge your beliefs (at least he challenged mine) but only with the intent of making you stronger. he's someone I look up to and still email with questions.

Cary like Acker treats you more as an equal than a student. He's known for going on little rants through class, but its all for humor. just make sure you turn all your papers in on time,do that and you'll surely get an A definitely take his class

Dr. Cary was the best professor I had during my time as a Philosophy undergrad. He's responsible for me becoming a philosophy major. Fun, humorous, and makes the subject exciting and interesting. Plus he rocks the beard.

Amazing professor and brilliant man! Dr. Cary seems to know everything, no exaggeration. There are no tests, only papers, which are challenging but fun. You don't learn facts about philosophy as much as you learn to think and reason critically. Best professor I've had so far!

Mocked by Dr. Cary? The person below definitely has some problems if they think Dr. Cary would mock or belittle them. Dr. Cary is an amazing professor and an extremely nice, understanding man. His classes are laid back discussions and he is a genius. Definitely take him if you can. I mean, come on, he's got his own facebook group.

Brilliant man who is able to place himself on the student's level to explainand examine the material. Knows the material like the back of his hand, and answers all questions with clarity and honesty. Probably the best prof I've had. Classes are open disscussions.
