Since shes from Japan, she doesn't understand English sometimes. Go talk to her about your conerns etc. Shes super nice. Her HW assignments were easy, exams were straight from them. Study concepts from hw and you'll be good to go. Shes not hard to understand.

SUGA-SENSEI IS SO AWESOME!! her class is always so fun and i always learn something new in that class. she reviews what we learned and always is proactive with japanese orienented events and the japanese conversation tables. also her TA's Kaneko and Sawada-sensei are SO COOL!! Kaneko-sensei is so nice and always makes sure we remember what she's teaching and Sawada-sensei is so funny! she always has fun when she teaches and hangs out after class. Suga-sensei is great for making japanese a pleasurable omoide

Possibly the easiest class ever. She reviews the chapter material so thoroughly with the TAs over two weeks, so every test is really more like a homework assignment. If you practice the handful of Kanji and the vocab words, you'll have no problem. If you're having problems, either she or a Japanese TA is usually available.

She is a very good instructor. Good teaching methods and easy tests. Lots of homework, but it is 5 credits... TA's run class most of the week though, but Suga reviews everything first. Easy class!

Comment:

Great Japanese teacher. Takes her teaching seriously, and doesn't waste your time. I never miss this class despite it meeting 5 times a week. Has Teaching Assistants go over most of the material after she introduces it, then reviews it all again.
