Professor Linfor is a great professor. This isn't a class where you can come to class and not pay attention. There is a heavy load of homework, but it only helps you as a writer. She gives great feedback and is always willing to help you out no matter what. As long as you show up, stay on track, and put in effort, you'll pass with flying colors.

I'm rating her average she wasn't the worst teacher I've had but she really makes you work for your grade. It's an online RWS class but you'll spend HOURS just watching her lecture and getting all her tasks done for the week. Sometimes I'd get the work done in 1-2 pages other times it took 4-5 pages EVERY WEEK plus her 3 essays that were 6-8 pages

Lots of work (2-3 assignments a week), so time management is KEY in this class. Definitely go to her office hours after you finish each project's rough draft to get feedback from her (it is super helpful). I actually enjoyed the projects' prompts. As long as you show effort and hit all of the key points, you'll most likely receive full credit.

You can tell she is very passionate about writing, but I would not recommend taking this class unless you want to pursue a career in journalism. There are way too many (and I mean WAY too many) assignments. Even when you have project due, you do not get breaks from the weekly assignments. She makes this course extremely time consuming and stressful

Do not take this class, find any other professor! I worked really hard in this class (I'm a really good 4.0 student) and her grading is so tough it's not worth it. Even weekly discussion boards were graded tough. There is a lot of long, pointless busy work I didn't get anything out of. There are a few extra credit opportunities but they aren't easy.

Linfor is extremely passionate about teaching. She invests herself in her students and opens up her life a lot, as she expects her students to do the same. There is A LOT of work in this class. At least two assignments per week with three multiple week long projects. I found that I actually learned from this class though, even enjoyed the work.

Way too much work for a writing course. The heavy workload interferes with your learning and makes this class unbearable. Instructions are confusing and poorly presented.

This lady makes you dive into your deepest inner thoughts of yourself on the first class project. She makes you rethink your life and write it all on a google slide show and share it so she can know all your secrets. I have poured my soul into this project and am not sure that I am ever ready to open up to anyone else ever again. Too much work

Take Linfor's class and you come out a better writer. 3 projects which are not difficult. They might be challenging for some but the projects are actually useful and something you could definitely use in real life. Weekly discussion board posts, points for attendance, etc. Highly reccomend

Professor Linfor was a great teacher. She keeps your attention easily so don't expect to get bored easily. Make sure to visit her for office hours when you have a project due as she will give valuable feedback which will most often earn you the A on the project. She knows topics well, so its tough to act like you read something you didn't.

Linfor is one of my favorite professors at state. Although there is a lot of homework, there is no such thing as busy work in her class. All of the homework ultimately helps when working on projects. She is a very entertaining, inspiring, and respected professor. I know I can reach out to her if I ever need help in any of my other classes.

She is very nice and funny. I took her RWS 100 and I enjoyed it, I had B's on my essays because she is very specific on what she wants. Lots of homework online, Easy A or B depends on the person. Office hours help a lot!

She seems genuinely invested in making sure her students learn and improve throughout the course. Make sure you to class because she gives a lot of help on homework. She also gives a heads up as to what she's looking for in essays and projects. You're allowed 3 absences before she begins to dock participation points from your grade.

Linfor is a really good teacher! She gives out a lot of homework, some of it is busy work and some is not. I would recommend to take her class if you're ready for a challenge and to work hard. Don't take this class if you have a hard time keeping up with assignments. She is super helpful in her office hours.

Overall she is a very nice person but this class has a lot of work. Busy work but not challenging. I had 4 projects: a letter, a 5 minute video, a memoir and a career portfolio with a resume and personal statement. You also have to do a lot of precis and write a weekly blog. Office hours helps with the projects.

This class is challenging, but as a science major who doesn't like to write- I earned a solid A!! Woot! Praise God! Take this class if u want to learn and prepare yourself for RWS 200. Attendance is required, no text book. You must go to her office hours, plus she's a comedian! 4 papers and the final is an easy blog!
