Comment:
Dr. Sibley is a true gem. She is a bit scatterbrained, yes. But she gives lots of extra credit opportunities and will give you the questions to the exam as prep (that actually happens). Very fair in grading. Very lenient.

Dr. Sibley is both a great person and professor. She is very passionate about history and wants her students to succeed. Classes are discussion-based, so she recognizes and appreciates participation. She is a fair grader and a good choice for HIS 154. I would definitely take her again!

Awful teacher. All over the place during her lectures and she talks so fast. Also one of the hardest graders I have ever had. I did the work but she just would not give me good grades. Her class really hurt my GPA

Comment:
I had two profs for this class and while the second was teaching, Sibley would continuously interrupt with tangents. When she was teaching, she was all over the place. Her assignments are as hectic as she is. There is so much writing, but very little room for original thought. Don't even bother asking for clarification on anything. Beware!!

Don't use your cellphone in class for any reason, she has super strict guidelines about cell phone usage. Her lecture style is somewhat disorganized and so is her assignment syllabus. There's only a couple of assignments that count towards your grade too, so every little thing counts.

She is so energetic, she is practically jumping off the walls. It is a pretty difficult class, but she is incredibly passionate, caring, and helpful. Definitely a good choice.

Dr. Sibley is definitely passionate about the subject that she teaches. However, it is difficult for her to share that passion with her students. Her assignments provide very little opportunity for in-depth thinking and are quite linear. She has trouble giving good lectures and goes on many tangents. 2 books and 1 online program are mandatory...

Comment:
Dr. Sibley is scatterbrained and does not follow her syllabus. She rarely lectures because, in my class, about four guys commented back and forth to each other the entire class period, making me learn very little. She refuses to give students credit for more work, even though its offered in the syllabus.

do not take this class. 5 reflection papers, one long essay, midterms and finals don't make any sense at all. also, i think she is borderline crazy. she is sporadic and jumps from one thing to another and doesn't make any sense

Alright, so I took Dr. SIbley for HIS 201: Intro To US History. Do yourself a favor and don't. Globalyceum is the stupidest website on the planet and her ineffective brain-child. Also, she talks really fast and is very tough when grading. Very nice woman, just boring as hell. RUINED MY GPA. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Worst professor I've ever had. Her class ruined my GPA. I got a D and actually did a decent amount of work. Do not take her unless you really like history and are prepared to do a lot of work.

This was overall a very hard class but the professor made it very interesting. She chose good books but unfortunately rushed us through them to fit everything she wanted into the class. Too much material to get through in one semester. Good class but be ready to work!

It's easier for a camel to get thru the eye of a needle than it is for her students too keep up with the insane amount of work she assigns. (Mark 10:25) I'm just sayin'.

The absolute worst professor in terms of work volume. All she has you do is write, write, write. If that's not enough, she has you write some more. If you value your sanity or you're easlily stressed, choose another professor. It's like she tried to stuff 450 years of history in to 17 weeks. If you don't follow this advice, remember I warned you!!

INSANE AMOUNT OF WORK! She is an incredibly kind woman, and in class her teaching ability rocks. However, she asks way too much work of her students, at least she did in African American History Post Civil War. Multiple times during the semester I was left crying due to the excessive amount of homework (which she fails to mention on the syllabus)
