Easiest gen ed i've taken with China. He curves tests so hard that you can get a 4 out of 20 on tests and walk out with a C. He's goofy funny, and kind of a weirdo but he lets you out 15 to 20 minutes early almost every class!

Comment:

Very eccentric. Oftentimes, while he's lecturing it looks like he's dancing, as well as over-enunciating words. He's pretty nice and approachable. His tests are very random, and you never know what to study for, except the essay given in advance. Short lectures are a plus, along with classes getting out early, with movies thrown into the mix.

His lectures are pretty boring for the most part..does get my attention every once in a while. He does funny things with his arms and hands during lectures, and closes his eyes sometimes for no apparent reason. Tests aren't that hard. Nice guy.

Here is a really good history professor. He was always friendly and his lectures were typically pretty interesting. His tests and quizzes could have some tricky parts but no one who attends class and studies will get a bad grade. Highly recommended.

This class is ridiculous! Attendance is required, the class is wayyy boring. You have no idea what to study for the tests because in lectures he uses power pts and says "you dont need to know this," THEN WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW!? I thought it was boring. BUt, you do get the essay ahead of time for the test.

Great Professor! He always seems to make class interesting. I learned a lot of neat stuff in this class, but didnt feel like I was bogged down by only trying to get an A... easy but very interesting... would recommend this professor!!

A must take for History requirment!! He is layed back, get out of class early everyday. Has lectures, dicussion, and movies to mix things up. One short (5pg.) term paper and two tests that are fairly easy (gives essay question before hand). Just a great guy and a high recommendation!!

He knows his stuff but is an odd man. If you have any questions he will help you out as best as he can. 1/2 the points on his tests are from an essay you are given beforehand & of the 20 multi-choice questions 2 are straight from the last test. If that isnt easy enough he also grades on a curve!

Dr. Holcomb is pretty easy going, you learn, but you don't have to fry your brain to learn it all. A short presentation, maybe a one page paper or two over the semester. Pretty good prof, and an expert on China.
