impossible to get participation points, i raise my hand around 3-4 times a day and still only get a 2/5 might as well not show up. goes thru slideshow too fast, very rude humor which offends people, never had a clear grading scale. i almost switched and regret it everyday that i didnt switch out. DROP IT IF U HAVE HER!!!!

Heavy on notes in the beginning but eased up after that. Projects to complete and bring in but were fun to do, no group projects. It was a fun and interesting class.

She is very understanding. You will take a lot of notes during one day in the semester. You will get a good grade in her class if you show up, participate in class (doesn't matter how well), and finish the few assignments she asks of you. I thought I was going to get a C- and will actually end with an A-. Bless her kind soul.

Hornby changed the entire curriculum the night before classes started, made us all return the book. We literally did nothing for like three weeks, then we took notes one day and then had a mid term, everyone failed the mid term, so she put it online for us all to retake (unlimited time/unlimited attempts) plus she told good jokes.

Here's the scoop- I liked this professor a lot. Easy A if you work for it. However, she expects you to speak 4 times per class in order to get the full participation points but never gives enough time for you to talk. Exams are SO EASY if you study the terms, she offers extra credit each exam. Gotta work for it though, she own't just give an A.

WORST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD & I HOPE THAT SHE READS THIS! For a 100 level class, she does zero review for any tests, midterm or the final. She rushes through her PowerPoints way to fast where no one can keep up and everyone is just annoyed 45 minutes. She talks about herself way to much. Attendance points are a joke. Take any other prof!

Professor Hornby is very knowledgable, however she is not clear on her expectations in the class. She requires you to participate to pass the class, however makes it almost impossible to attain the necessary points. I would not recommend taking this professor unless you have thick skin and can deal with no study guides.

It was very difficult to understand what was expected of us in order to do well in this class. Professor Hornby was hard to get a hold of through email & was not clear when answering questions. You practically have to raise your hand every chance you get and hope to get called on in order to earn decent participation points. Do not recommend.

Would definitely not recommend. You do not do lot in class, just PowerPoints and she goes extremely fast through them. Grades hard and midterm and final exam were extremely difficult . I am a A student and failed the final. She gives NO review sheet and doesn't explain anything.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF. She was very nice but does not explain assignments and will grade extremely hard. WIll fail you on participation points if you don't talk all the time. Also, failed to give us our correct final grades and 3 weeks after the semester am still dealing with this problem. Doesn't respond to emails what so ever. Stay clear.
