One of my favorite profs. He is a prof. who truly tries to help his students succeed--both academically and as people. He is very encouraging and devoted and looks for ways to help his students find opportunities that are suitable for them. Great personality and heart. Passionate and good sense of humor.

absolute favorite prof at Calvin so far. I am a production major, and he always kept the class entertaining. The man is hilarious. I laughed my head off every class, especially when he attacked a student during a scene from behind the set ;-) I am thrilled to be in a program where I will have him as a prof again. I strongly recommend him!

If you don't take Garcia, your life will have a Mexican-shaped hole in it! j/k- Garcia jokes about being Mexican all the time except for the fact that he's from Peru. He's not the most organized or a master of the English language (his e-mails are hilarious), but he knows a lot about production!

Best class I've taken so far at Calvin...of course I want to be a film director so I might be a bit biased. Garcia is WONDERFUL. Do the Film Studies and Mass Media majors a favor and don't take this class...we need it and we WANT it!

Awesome prof, makes you laugh. Doesn't seem to like to give A's--he expects a lot and won't always let you know exactly what he is expecting. But there is good reason that there were 45 appeals to get into this class next semester.
