Solid choice for COB318, only things you're graded on are the tests and mind tap (he gives you at least a couple weeks to complete each). His lectures aren't the most exciting but lets face it the content doesn't help. He's a lawyer so he has some cool stories. If you just listen during his lectures, it's definitely easy to pass

Parker is a great choice for COB318. Classes are interesting and you learn a lot. Not an easy class and you have to really work hard to get an A or B. He doesn't round up final grades so be aware of that. I got a 79.9% in the end and he didn't round up even though I did the extra credit and met with him outside of class. But nice guy and good class

I went into this class thinking I was going to do poorly because I didn't do well on the first test. However, since tests were only 10%; the average grades I was getting on the tests did not bring my grade down as much. He cares about his students succeeding after college. He bumped my grade from a 89.5 (B+ for his class) to an A-. Go to his class.

Tests are really hard, even though there are 5. Average on each of them was 65 -72. Last one was take home which was nice, B average. Attendance is mandatory, you will lose a whole letter grade if you skip more than 1. Have to teach yourself the material but its manageable. Do every single mindtap, and try not to bomb the tests

got our test 1 grade back, the day of our 2nd test. this was a month later. we had a mock trial. he said if we do good on it we will have no final. were told we did great on it. the next class, we walk in, he says nothing about the trial. just to take good notes the next classes for the final. if ur wondering if this is a good elective, its not.

Definitely stay away from this class. He teaches the class like an upper level course for students in law school. There is an absurd amount of reading for a finance elective course. The first exam went badly for most people, probably because we had absolutely no idea what to expect. Got our exam 1 score back THE DAY we took our second exam.

Got our exam 1 grade back the morning of exam 2, to find you didn't get the grade you expected and have no time to look over it and see where you went wrong before the next exam. Long cases to read, up to 10 readings for each class. Exams are very unclear of what to expect for, 10 short answer case questions. In summary, just a lot of aggravation.

Parker is apparently a great professor, but I don't see it. His lectures are read straight off the book, he doesn't make his own tests, and the homework doesn't help. The tests are impossible to study for and never match up with his lectures. Class is impossible. Take someone else

class is mandatory, but it shouldnt be as he puts everything online and his lectures arent that great. its an easy class but its just hella inconvenient when you have to go to a class you know you could be learning online

His materials were not related to his test. His final is cumulative final which include 16 chapters. In addition, he never gave us study guide or paper to prepare for the tests which makes the test so hard to us.

While Parker is a nice guy and very approachable, he doesn't do a very good job preparing you for the tests. His lectures are disorganized and they tend to drag on. If it weren't for the mindtap quizzes, my grade would've tanked, considering my test average was a C+ average. It's important to keep in mind that cob218 is a tough class in general.

Parker knows his stuff, as he is a practicing lawyer. He has some cool stories and explains things well in class. The tests are brutal though. Did all the work outside of class(which is a lot) and studied a pretty good amount and still wounded up with a 79.9 in the class which he wouldn't round up. Maybe I'm not a law guy, but this class isn't easy

I took 497 and let's put it this way, it's hard to walk out of this class without at least a B, he's far more relaxed on his seniors than the lower core kids. I've also heard the same of his 494 class. Not a bad choice for an elective fill in. 20% of our grade came from community service, just do 20 hours and go to the extra credit opportunities

Read the book word for word and outline the chapters with minimal notes in class and you'll do fine. His tests are online (in class) and very hard, so know the little things. He's very nice and easy to talk to but is VERRRY strict on grades and attendance. Dont try and push this guy around because it won't work.

Parker is a good teacher. You definitely need to read the textbook and do the online work. His lectures are good and he's a real lawyer so he knows what he's talking about. Gives 30 extra credit points throughout the semester.

Teach yourself class and tests are multiple choice which are made of mainly examples. 15% is online homework which two tries and it does help a lot(all the answers are on quizlet if you don't wanna do them) . He also gives extra credit out which can help a lot if you screw up on one test. If you do the homework and use flash cards its an easy B+.

I took this class and loved it. If you go to class and doing the readings/assignments you'll be fine. Go to his office hours, too. He's a bit intimidating at first, but he's such a nice person once you start talking to him. He offers some extra credit as well. I highly suggest taking him. If you put in effort, you'll be fine.

Took COB 291, 204, 202 this semester & got As. Do you have Parker? WITHDRAW. Only grades are 5 exams and a final. Last two exams had a class avg of 50% & 57%. No curves. Miss three classes and you instantly fail. Office hours are at 7am 3 times a week. For lectures he just reads slides that don't even scratch the surface of what you are tested on.

Just finished the final exam today and our class average was a D+. The only way we got graded in this class was based off exams. And all our other exam averages ranged from 50s-70s. We got some extra credit opportunities, but it doesn't have very much of an impact on your grade. Good luck if you decide to take this class.

This class was terrible. You honestly don't even need him as a teacher since all he does is read from the PowerPoints. He doesn't even make his own tests (he uses test banks). You really do need to know the book word for word. The only grades in his class are exams and I would study for hours and still did awful. Avoid if you can.
