Comment:

While Crane was very kind to me, his class was my hardest this semester. The homework was sporadic with several assignments one week and none the next. I never knew when the workload would hit, and sometimes I did not know when that work was due. The last quiz was a whopping 100 questions. However, he does mean well and he cares about his students.

The class was basically homework and quiz the entire semester. He does not teach on what you will be tested on so prepare yourself. If you are not great in politics, don't take him. Worst professor I have ever had, he doesn't teach a thing in class. He just rambles on about things that has nothing to do with the class itself. He is very opinionated and comes across a bit racist. If you are not good at politics don't take him. I regret signing up for him. He treats you like a kid. You have your raise your hand for everything.

Interesting lectures, but tough class. He really won't go easy on the students. Excessive work, extremely harsh grading, and even a bit offensive. He actually discriminates against multiple groups based on ethnicity and ideological views. But overall, solid teacher. Difficult, but solid.

Comment:

Brilliant man who knows everything about politics. His whole class is just him lecturing, but he is very interesting to listen to. Relates everything to the real world and how it affects us. Attend every class and do all your HW, +5 on your final grade. Quizzes are straight from the HW. You will learn a lot that you can carry with you for life.

Where to start... Professor crane would have to be in my top ten worst teachers of all time. Unless you have a vast knowledge of politics going into the class I URGE you not to take him. Though he seems like a very nice person, he is a solely interested in his own political views, as well as humiliating his students, with ZERO direction. RUN FOR IT

Dr. Crane makes it clear as a political science teacher, what political party he leans towards. Very biased. Hardly touches the book in class, but it is your bible outside of class. This is a college class in which we must raise our hand & ask permission to use the restroom or leave the room for any reason. We also have assigned seats. There are a minimum of 50+ HW ?s last one was 76 The tests are the exact ?s from the HW bt he doesn't go over the answers with you. You have to do all of the homework and study ALOT or you fail.

He gives out infractions for everything: Missing homework/class,not sitting in your assigned seat/asking to go to restroom etc. Get 5 & he'll drop your grade 10 points. He's very opinionated & will spend the entire class period arguing with you. Don't worry- all of his study guides are on his website so you can teach yourself. I tried hard & failed

If you are sensitive and easily intimidated please dont take this class. He has a strong personality and very intimidating at first but cools down throughout the semester.
