Tough, but fair prof. Study his stuff, b/c a lot of his tests are fairly difficult. But all in all...very smart man and you will learn from him. Just do your homework. And study your butt off for tests.

Ok...one word...HARD. If our thinking about taking his class be prepared to totally engulf yourself with work just to pass. The work he shows in class is extremely difficult to follow and understand how he got from point A to point B.

Dr. Cavalier is perhaps the greatest instructor I have ever had after working toward 4 degrees over a decade. The man knows his stuff and you will learn it as long as you are not lazy. Stay up on the assignments and ask questions. If you don't want to work at your studies, go apply at McDonalds.

Do not take him, he'll ruin your life. Tests are way to hard compared to what he teaches. All my friends that have had him too have had to take the class over again, from a different teacher to pass.

Dr. Cavalier is by far the best math teacher I have had. He teaches Calc II/III for a small class in my high school, so we get a lot of one-on-one time. His approaches are very logical. Take his class!
