He doesn't curve when the whole class does bad, but if you complete the optional hw and do the group projects, he will raise your grade at the end of the semester. He is very quiet and writes everything on the board. its very easy material as long as you have an idea what's going on.

He is a sweet man but he is just not the best teacher. The topics that we went over in class were not very clear. He's one of those teachers where he knows the material he just does not have a good way to teach it to others.

He lectures by writing notes on the board. Every class is just copying down the notes. HW is pretty similar to the examples he provides. He will review any hw questions in class. There are supplemental and group activities. Overall, his teaching style is straightforward, but you will have to do the homework in order to understand the material.

I don't think this man can actually teach at all. There's a ton of projects including a portfolio, group activities, and required supplemental points. His exams are difficult and he rarely curves. But, on the bright side he doesn't check or grade the homework until the end of the semester.

Take him for this class! He is a very approachable teacher if you are having trouble and homework is a huge part of your grade. He a very sweet guy and cares about his students. Would definitely take him for another math class in the future.

Probably the worst professor I ever had. Does not know how to teach at all. Always goes off topic. Not helpful with answering questions at all. Do not take him.

Fairly easy class, but there are strings attached as far as homework. He makes a normally abstract subject easy to understand.

Very boring professor, and he seems quite insane sometimes. The homework is a lot, and usually fairly difficult. And if you don't do it, your grade will drop A LOT. Not the best teacher to understand the subject, but the cheat sheets when taking a test help. Difficult boring teacher.

Not a good professor if you don't understand the subject.Writes notes on the board the entire class period and barely turns around. The notes can be confusing at times. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE HOMEWORK. He gives extra points on tests as long as you do it. Tests can be difficult if you don't study hard. Very boring and not the best professor.

Had him for STATS 1. Attendance is mandatory. He doesn't really teach and if he does, you need to pay 100% attention to him to understand. His tests are extremely hard but he does let you use a cheat cheat for every test.

Not the best teacher. But Very Pleasant, Mild Mannered, Maybe a Little Boring. I found it very easy to ace my class, because of all the little things I could avoid doing. His tests were easy, homework he never checked, and so much more. If you know the material, minimal work can still get you the A. If your confused, he is not the most helpful.

Great professor if you're willing to work for your grade. Homework takes about 2 hours each time if you do it to understand it. Tests are fine if you study for them (which most of these other people didn't seeing as we get to make a study sheet for use during the test). Mathematica and supplemental aren't fun. I got an A but i had to work for it

Terrible teacher, he knows calc, but expects that everyone should. Gives extra credit for homework- that's about the only good thing that comes out of his class. Test averages were a 60 for both tests, what does this say? 10 question tests & 15 question finals. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Wish I did.

Class test average was 50 and 66 for 1st & 2nd test. He teaches Calc1 like his students were Math majors. His teaching is sub-par, the notes in class don't have any real value when you need to study. His supplemental points and mathematica work are a huge waste of your time. He stands in front of the board, and flies through notes. Hard to keep up.

Such a bad teacher. Offers little to none partial credit on exams. Talks to the blackboard and probably does not know the names of any of his students. There are only three tests and they increase in difficulty. Only thing to save your grade is supplemental points, mathmatica, and the honor system homework. terrible.

Terrible teacher. Nice guy. Talks to the blackboard, gives no explanation for material. When you ask a question, he starts every answer with "it's easy- it's simple- it's obvious" when it really isn't to someone who can't understand math. He tells lots of stories which can be entertaining and gives extra credit for homework.

He teaches you what mean and median are like it's the hardest thing ever conceived while everyone just sits and sleeps, and then teaches things like p-value hypothesis testing like it is the easiest concept in the world while most ppl get frustrated and decide it's time to catch up on some more of that sleep. Knows his stuff but not best teacher.
