I LOVE Woj. He is very old-fashioned, but caring for his students. He comes off as intimidating at first, but hes a great guy. I learned so much from him. His class was not always easy, but he taught me so much about PR. Just make sure you get to know him. He has many connections and those are crucial.

I was afraid of him at first because he seems kind of unapproachable when you don't know him, but he's been a great help to me. In 450, I got A's on all of my assignments. It's easy to get a good great if you try hard and double-check your work. He even helped me find an internship when I needed one. He's every IPR majors best friend!

Comment:

Wojcik is super stern but literally teaches you everything you need to know about PR writing. The only thing that sucks is that he doesn't use blackboard and doesn't grade on overall points. So you basically have no idea what your final grade is until it's too late to do anything about it. Besides that, I really enjoyed his class.

Wojcik is a must for IPR majors. Incredibly helpful and useful. In 450 you will create your portfolio and learn how to write for a future in PR. I still refer to my notes from his class last year. He has the best guest speakers who bring current knowledge of the field with them. He genuinely cares about his students and their success. Great man.

Woj made me feel confident in my chosen career path and I even requested for him to be my advisor for my major. You're required to show up to every class and do every assignment but they are super simple. If you're looking for a credit to fill or interested in Integrative Public Relations, I definitely recommend taking his class.

Awesome guy. The people who don't like him are the type of people who want everything handed to them on a silver platter. He makes you work, but is for the best. You will learn things that will be helpful to you for the rest of your life. I wish more classes were like his.

Every IPR student at CMU must take JRN 450 to graduate. If you take this class with anyone else you are a fool. Wojcik cares about his students success. He will push your limits and make you work hard. If you are looking for an easy A, look elsewhere.

Wojick is a horrible professor. He teaches principles that are not cohesive with what you'll encounter in the 'real world' and he isn't straightforward with how he wants assignments completed. He's rude to students who have a bit of a hard time understanding any part of material. He rants and raves too much and doesn't care about students enough.

He's known for being a jerk at first, and I can't say I don't agree, but he's like that to weed out anyone who's not serious about the class. He grades tough but you won't make the same mistake again! He's a great guy once you get to know him. He demands excellence out of his students but expects nothing less out of himself either.

Woj is really awesome. I learned more in his class than I have in any of my other PR classes. He does challenge you, but that's what helps you learn. If you're going into PR MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HIM! Go to every class, LISTEN and you'll do great!

Take Woj if you want to succeed in PR. He really challenges you to improve your writing and communication skills in this class, but it is so worth it. I learned a lot and can't wait to take more classes with him. Also, stay on his good side since he is the internship coordinator!

He's hard. You have to earn your grade the hard way, but that's why he's so good at what he does. I walked out of that class feeling so proud of myself for all that I had accomplished. He comes off as a hard-ass, but he cares. His high expectations are how he shows it. There are daily AP quizzes until you get a passing grade, so bone up!!

Woj is an incredible prof. He won't hold your hand through assignments, but he is willing to help if you seek it. Don't be afraid to ask questions, but make sure you've exhausted other resources first. Like anyone, he doesn't like his time wasted. Just listen to him, he has a lot to share and teach to those who pay attention.

Woj is notorious even within the JRN department for favoritism and discretionary grading. He's helpful if you're a sycophantic ass-kisser, but if he recognizes any capacity for independent thought he will do all he can to ruin your experience. He does very little actual instruction, instead relying on student presentations and menial activities.

I dont understand some people. Woj is a great person. He is honest if you are stupid, he teaches by letting you be stupid, and lets you fix it-with his help. Most importantly, he does not favor PRSSA or PR Central. I got A's in both classes and I am in neither. The Polish Prince is great.
