Comment:

One of the most useful classes I've ever taken; I went in completely clueless about excel and access and now I can use it proficiently. Nightingale is really sweet and know what she's talking about. There's lots of homework, and a quiz for each chapter, but no exams. Everything is also done online aka open book!!

Comment:

Great professor. She knows what she's talking about. May seem a bit cocky in the beginning but definitely deserves to. DO NOT show up late, she hates it. If you show up regularly and show effort, she will see that. It is a very involved class but the content is not easily grasped so it's important to do all assignments.

Comment:

Dr. Nightingale loves excel, and she teaches in a way that any student could understand the material. Most of the course is done online, but Dr. Nightingale helped write the book that is taught in class. She knows what she is talking about, and she teaches in an interesting way.

Comment:

Dr. Nightingale is by far one of the best professors in the School of Business. She is incredibly thorough, brings enthusiasm to class, and is always available for assistance when needed. Go to class, do the assignments, visit her office hours, and you'll be her best friend. She makes the world if Info Systems pretty exciting. Definitely take her.

Comment:

Best professor I've had at Duquesne University. She's helpful, easy to understand, and super excited about the material. Attendance isn't mandatory for ISYS (it is for Decision Tools) but it's definitely a class worth going to. She's a fair grader and gives you plenty of points so a couple bad scores here or there won't hurt you.

She was a very exceptional instructor. Homeworks are easy and will help your grade from falling if you happen to slip up on a test. However unless you go to one of her tutoring sessions she will not help you much by any means and just say "We went over this in class"

Professor Nightingale was an excellent instructor. There are a lot of assignments but they're not usually hard if you read the book and follow the instructions, she's always willing to answer any questions that you may have. Her lectures are very clear and if you pay attention you'd do great in the quizzes.

She is always willing to help you with everything and gives clear instruction. One of the best teachers at Duquesne. You get a lot of assignments but you are taught how to do each step and have plenty of time to complete them. I recommend her for excel.

Dr. Nightingale is the best professor to take for this class. She was apart of creating the book for the course, so her knowledge and the way she executes it in her teaching is the best you can get. She won't hand your grade to you, but she gives you the tools to do so. The content in this class isn't always easy, but her teaching style is thorough

If you have the choice, she is your best choice for the excel class!! All freshman look back and wish they had her because she grades on a different scale so that your quizzes and tests will not drag you down! Excel cn be a lot, but she makes it very manageable.

Dr. Nightingale was one of my favorite professors in the semester that I had her. While she is definitely strict with work, she's very fair with her grading and doesn't pull any fast ones on quizzes or graded assignments. I had her as a first semester freshman, and I think she's very easy to get along with as long as you do your work!

She can be mean sometimes. For example; don't even think about coming late. But she usually is very nice and helpful. She is a good teacher and I would recommend her. Just make sure you pay attention and you'll be fine.

If you go to class, do the homework, and briefly study for the quizzes, her class is a very easy A. She is a very fair teacher and I would definitely take her again. Dr. Nightingale is very nice and always is willing to help. She is super easy to communicate with.

Sucks because she probably the best teacher in the IS field but, the strictest teacher when it comes to grading. Docks points on things you didn't even do wrong. So many points which is useless, does not give examples. Can be very mean and annoying. Get a group of friends and work together on everything.

She is my favoirte teacher. very very understanding if you go to her classes. she even gave me a good recomendation and I recieved a job thanks to her! really tells you what future eplyes are looking for. She wrote the book so she knows what she is talking about

Comment:

Easy grade. Horrible, condescending, know-it-all professor. Class generally taken as a freshman pre-req but I transferred. Heavy on the "here's what your life as a freshman will be like" preaching. She wrote the book, so she won't listen to any other way. Easy grade with some computer knowledge, but the worst professor I've had at Duquesne.
