If Drost was playing in a pick-up basketball game, he would be the kind of player that posts you up even though he's 5'9'' and over 50. He is tenacious and I thought he was a very cool prof. He showed that he cared for his students and for math.

Drost is a crazy dude but still managed to keep the class on tast (sorta). I only went 50% of the time and ended up with a B. Too bad he's retiring cause he's an awesome teacher.

Dr. Drost is a really nice guy who takes the time to know every student. However is can be very unclear in examples and often moves very fast leaving you wondering how he did something. The material came very easily for me but that was with absolutely no help from him. Do the homework practice tests and read the book if you cant follow his leacture

Not a bad teacher. Likes to get off topic but makes class more enjoyable. randomly collects a homework assignment on friday, so you have to do them all. Drops your lowest test score at the end of the semester. Overall not a bad teacher, just kinda crazy at times.

I hate math, and Professor Drost made me hate it more. His practice exams are NOTHING like his actually exams. He rambles on about stupid stuff. When you ask him questions, he makes you feel stupid. It's terrible. Wouldn't recommend him.

If you notice, all the good comments about this guy seem to be written by the same person, it's probably himself. (AVOID) This guy is a trap who seeks to fail half the class. SERIOUSLY AVOID. WARNING: THIS CLASS WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO QUIT COLLEGE.

If you want a professor that makes things way more complicated than they really are then Drost is the guy you are looking for. He indicated to the class the drop dates when half the class is getting a D or less. He doesn't take into account that maybe his teaching style is flawed and assumes that half the class is stupid.

Dr. Drost is probably the worst teacher I've ever had. He copies definitions straight from the book and doesn't bother explaining what he's teaching. He does example problems on the board but doesn't tell the class what he's doing or how to get to the next step. When you ask him a question, he treats you like you're stupid. I wouldn't recommend him

Drost is the worst math teacher i've ever had. he copies definitions from the book and doesn't explain well at all. i went everyday and studied hard and still got a terrible grade. he loves to get off track and talk about random things, like his twin brother. do not take him.

Dr drost's is a decent professor he prepares you for exams well but his teaching of definitions and how to do problems were very frustrating.....if you have him for a teacher do the homework and sample exams and you should do decent......at least his classes are not boring w/ his stories!

Don't fret from taking Drost, he really isn't a bad professor, and he's a godsend compared to the rest of the math department. 114 isn't a hard class, just do the homework and prepare for the tests just for a few hours and you'll do perfectly fine.

Drost is a great professor that obviously cares about his students. His class can get boring at times, but it is bearable. Tests are easy, and homework are easy points that make up a big portion of your grade. Study the practice tests and this class will be a breeze.

Prof. Drost is not the best teacher but he has lots of office hours and tries to be as helpful as possible. His lectures are hard to understand sometimes, but his tests are very easy. He gives out review sheets before the tests that have some of the exact test questions on them.

Drost is a solid professor. He's a little hard to follow at first because he does say "uhhh" a lot. You'll get over it though. Do the homework and you will do well. His study exams seem to have the same problems as what's on the actual exam, so make sure you go through the study packets. Drost is passionate and wants to help.

Dr. Drost is a very nice guy, but his style of teaching is not very straightforward. His definitions are difficult to comprehend and he makes things much more complicated than they actually are. AVOID!he has a horrible stutter so he drags out his a's."aaaaaaaaaa we will be learning about the rules of calculus and aaaaaaaaaa..." puts me to sleep ever day. i have him at 7 in the morning(AVOID)and i have to drag myself to his class every day.he gets on rants about life on the farm and how students should study at least 40 hrs/weekAVOID DROST!
