There are frequent tests. The things that he lectured about were not on tests, and the test reviews rarely covered the test material either. He couldn't remember what he told us from one class period to the next. The students in my class (myself included), passed the class because I think he felt bad and just adjusted our grades at the end.

I like this teacher. But I like him more as a person than a teacher - he reminds me of my grandfather. He knows what he's doing, but not necessarily how to tell you what he's doing. I would recommend this class if you already know a lot of the material, but for someone (like me) who knew some but not all, maybe take a different course.

THE WORST instructor Ive ever had. Rambles, cannot answer questions clearly. Reads the textbook verbatim as his lecture. AWFUL.

One of the Worst Teachers I have ever had! If you don't understand Physics good luck because you will end up trying to teach yourself. Unclear and rambles with random stories.

Everything in the class comes straight out of the book. He reads off the key points to you, does the examples from the book on the board, etc. He will help you with problems if you need it, but kind of lacks explanation. On the bright side, the tests are open book and notebook, so that helps quite a bit, and the tests themselves weren't too hard.

Boring and did everything out of the book. However, he was always prepared with problem selections and did them smoothly (couldn't really answer questions though since he didn't know all that much). Open book/note exams. Attend class for easy hand-in pts and hints on exam material. Exam Q's are like book problems so...pretty easy

The tests were harder than I expected. Basically you just read, and then he reads the chapter highlights to you again in class. Homework is really easy and is due every class period and on the day of the test. No one really came to class, or if they did they usually left.

He is a nice guy but doesn't know what he is talking about most of the time. The only reason to go to class is to turn in the hand-ins. You learn everything from your book. Tests are either really random or spot on from the book. His lectures do absolutely nothing for you

Eh he's really old and not the best teacher. But, he's funny (dorky funny) and nice. Homework is water easy and tests aren't too bad. Just read all the chapters and youll be fine.

nice guy, but does not teach well. he lectures straight out of the book, but sometimes does examples. coming to class is still pretty necessary if you want to get credit for your hand-ins (must do every day), and hear what is going to be on the exams. exams are open note and open book, but not that easy. however, i still got an A.

Took Astronomy which I was really interested in before I took the class. He had students read the book three times before lecturing on it a fourth time straight out of the book. Tests were difficult to pass because most of the review questions for the test were not included on the test. No one came to class unless it was a test day.

Terrible teacher, makes mistakes alot while teahcing. Need to be a self learner, do questions from each chapter and understand how to do them with out solutions manual.

took it over the summer. have to go to class for quiz. some people have said his tests were tricky... all of them were open book and almost identical to an example problem just with the numbers switched. way easier than taking it at a university!

He is a great physics teacher. He does many examples and problems during class with explanations that make sense. He prepares you for the tests by telling exactly what equations he is going to test on...it doesn't get any easier than that. Minor extra credit opportunities that aren't necessary because he does a good job.

He does a good job teaching the material. Tests are a little different than the HW but not that hard. Very helpful if you have questions. Does his best to make it interesting but it is physics.

Very nice teacher who is willing to do whatever he can to help you learn better. He is extremely smart but has a hard time getting his point across. Tests are hard but very representative of what you learn in class. I would suggest him to anyone taking physics.

He's a really good guy and is willing to help if needed. His tests are easier than the assigned homework, so that helps out a ton. He's a very smart guy and knows what he's talking about, he sometimes has a hard times explaining things in a way you will understand though.
