Nelson does not teach a tough class, but if you are in sports beware of your absences. Even your excused absences count against you in this class. I had to miss every other week on fridays, and it brought me from a A to a C because attendance counts for 100 points.

Comment:

Dr. Nelson was a fun teacher. He uses a lot of powerpoints with material directly from the book, so you can definitely get by without it. You will need a lab book, though. His tests were kind of tough but he usually lets you bring a cheat sheet. He likes hard-working students. Work hard and you will do great. He's a very approachable person.

Great teacher. I wasn't that thrilled that he just used the powerpoints, and didn't really tell us where in the book to look if we wanted to. He's pretty cute for an older guy, though, and quite funny and sweet. Amazing firefighter too!

The quizes are EASY. Just make sure you look at the powerpoints he puts on BCStore and you'll sail through em. The tests on the other hand - HA! Haven't made above a D yet. He'll give you a recycling project and there's no limit to the bonus points so you can make up for tests you may or may not bomb. Pretty good teacher, I'd be in his class again.
