He really wants you to understand the subject. He works really hard to make the class interesting. The class is quite difficult but as long as you attend class and study you should be all right.

He's not the best teacher for ACC 210, which is already a hard class, but he is a really nice man and will help you any way he can. He also gives bonus points for attendance.

Great teacher in my opinion. I can see why some might find him hard to understand but personally I found him to be pretty easy to comprehend. He's also pretty funny and you can't complain about attendance bonus points. To succeed in chen's class, one just needs to work. That's all there is to it. Go to class and study for tests and quizzes. Simple!

I don't understand how you can't like this guy. He's hilarious and explains his lectures very clearly. He posts his slides on his website before class (the other teachers don't) so you can follow more closely. Gives bonus points on your final grade for attending. He definitely cares about his students, great teacher!

I absolutely love this guy. I'm confused by the bad ratings. He gives .5 extra points on your final grade for low-attendance days (rainy days) and all his notes are online. I don't even own the book and I have an A because of his thorough notes. He's hilarious too. This is not a bad class if you actually try.

Although Chen is a very nice guy, he has a really thick accent and is often hard to understand. I had to get tutoring outside class to learn each lesson. If you have the option, get one of the other professors.

Chen is a great teacher, who really cares about his students. The class is not easy but if you read what you are supposed to it is not hard at all.

The most conceptually difficult accounting class I've ever taken. However, Dr. Chen seems to care about his students and makes the class bearable. Tests are hard, but are open-book, and he grades somewhat leniently. Study!

Although he scales his tests so the class average will be a 75, his tests are so ridiculously hard that an 18 point scale (which happened on the 2nd test) hardly helps. He assigns way too much homework (4 to 5 problems every class).

Chen is a good guy, but he needs a few more years of teaching. Tests are not only hard but almost impossible for the average student to finish in an hour and fifteen mins. Advice to Chen: allow at least an hour and a half to take tests.
