Love Schueller! My favorite professor at UF. He's a super nerd from Wisconsin, he has the best stories. He is a really good teacher but is still very challenging. So expect to work for your grade.

Great professor for controls not so much for dynamics. Very clear instruction on controls with frequent references to real like applications. Tests aren't easy but they are fair if you understand the material. Definitely need to take notes and do the homework.

Comment:

Great professor, cares for the students in teaching you what you need to know. Wants you to understand and able to know how to apply controls to everyday life as an engineer. Difficult to comprehend at times, he thinks faster than he speaks. Take good notes, study them for the exam. Homework problem are used for practice, but mostly not on exams.

Smart guy who cannot communicate ideas AT ALL. He is kind of rude (and socially awkward). It seemed like every lecture he would do the example problems from the textbook (which were already completely worked out) and STILL manage to either get the answer completely wrong or lose interest halfway through b/c he couldn't explain it...

Good teacher. Has a lot of good stories to make the class interesting. He related a lot of stuff to statics and was good at explaining most of it. He talks really loud which was really funny the first day of class. He is fair and I suggest you take his class.

never attended any lectures after the first few days, only show up there before class so i can turn my HW in, materials may not be that easier but the grading offers partial creadit like CRAZY!!

Comment:

Good teacher, although I'd have liked him to do more problems in the class that aren't sample problems from the book. Only 3 tests, as the other people said, so don't mess up, otherwise, you can drop by a whole letter grade just by messing up 1 problem. Other than that, tests not too bad. Reading the book helps and doing the hw, not copying.

Although he is a little strange in his own sense, he was a good teacher. He goes through rather simplistic problems in class, but the book makes everything very simple. Lots of homework, and only 3 tests, so "don't screw up."

Not an easy class but at least he works with you to try and get you to understand. Do the homework (though there's tons of it) and STUDY! GO TO CLASS because exams are open book/notes.

This guy is really rude. He also throws his political opinions on students, and has evened yelled at someone for having a different political opinion than his. I wouldn't suggest taking a course with this man if you can help it.

Comment:

After acres of homework, statics comes down to nine exam problems; choke on a couple and you're smoked. Given the game, Schueller plays it as fair as he can. While I found the class' exams to be unforgiving, Schueller's tone was always encouraging. This helped me learn statics.
